If the pedal was not attached to the crank, they are really difficult to get off. 's leverage innit.
A bit like putting a socket on the wheel nuts of your car and trying to undo them with your fingers!

With the pedal in the crank and your foot in the shoe - it'll be easy peasy lemon squeezy to unclip it.

It was, cheers LB.

I obviously managed to get the pedal on with the shoe on it :-)

I had a quick spin round the block, its smooth and fast :-)

Was at the court yesterday as witness for an incident last August involving me and an Edinburgh Taxi. The driver pleaded guilty in court so myself and the other two witnesses didn't have to give evidence.

I'm going to assume the judge saw the video footage as the driver was given 9 points and a £360 fine.

9 points is the maximum they can give for a Careless Driving offence.

Put the video up online last night and it has over 1800 views already. You Tube channel Another Edinburgh Cyclist for those who wish to view it.

What a bloody idiot. Glad he imposed the maximum - it should hopefully make him think twice as his livelihood might be on the line. God knows how he thought the police were going to think that was acceptable behaviour...

Can I just state I hate octalink!

Has anyone any idea how to get an octalink crank off when the crank puller has failed. The drive side came off ok, but on the non drive side the puller just tore the threads out of the crank and fractured itself in the process.

I don't care to save either the crank or the bottom bracket (I'm changing to a crankset with a square taper bb), so if it comes down to a hack-saw so be it, but if there are slightly more refined methods.

I've never had this problem with Hollowtech II!
