My simple calculation would be find out where the minimum insertion point is, measure that distance from the and and make sure you'd still have that beneath the clamp - I reckon you'd be more than safe as it would have been calculated with more leverage force than you'll create with a shorter post (I'm not a mechanic or an engineer though so might be talking utter bollox..)

I would do what Cath says, and add an extra cm or so in case you need upwardly adjustment!

EL Bee! Made a great point on leaving a bit of wiggle room. You might not grow, but you might find that you can tolerate a slightly higher seat / gain more power, etc. Unless you've already had some kind of bike fit and know exactly what your optimum seat height measurement should be...
