Richmac, I cycled there in the summer with our Tri club and it's a fab circuit to bike on. Smooth, traffic free loop. I clocked my 10 mile PB 😀 As soon as the race details are finalised I'll add it to the Fetch race database. Come up to the track and do the 5k and you can get a feel for it.

So a question. If you could have ONE of the following upgrades which would you have?
A) Carbon bars B) Carbon seat post C) Ultegra calipers D) Carbon stem
Bear in mind I'll probably spend the money on beer anyway

Gotta say I'm leaning that way. Lighter and better. Rest will come, lightness is the key!

You'll get as many weight gains with the Carbon bars, Carbon seat post and Carbon stem as you do by having a wee before you set off!!

You'll be poor! And won't be able to afford stuff that actually helps

Carbon bars and seatpost can help with comfort though as carbon is a bit more forgiving than aluminium- it's not just about weight

Mostly it's about 'pimping' your ride though, Cath
