Might sound silly, EP, but the three pockets at the back of a cycling jersey are so darned useful you wonder why running shirts don't have them

Cycling jerseys are, by and large, things of beauty, although buying them can be addictive...

DO NOT look at Prendas Ciclismo.

I agree with greg its amazing how much you cna fit in those pockets.

If you're cycling through winter would recommend a good wind proof jacket and cycling overshoes

Wished I'd worn overshoes cycling to work yesterday, my feet were soaked.

EP - basically like a neoprene wrapper for your shoes, if you can imagine that.

The only trouble with a running jacket is it might me 'short' at the back - apart from that fine.

Yeah I wear my flourescent running jacket but cycling ones tend to be a bit more heavy duty

Is there much difference in a £25 *D-lock* from decathlon and a £60 D-lock from Evans?

Is it work spending the difference?

What is the difference?

Everyone who lives in London has at least one bike stolen.

Personally I don't wear overshoes - I used to commute daily (13 miles each way) and think I wore the overshoes once when it was quite snowy - I found they made my feet too hot and the neoprene versions you can get - I just felt too restricted and preferred getting wet.

A decent cycling jacket is a sound investment - they're longer at the back to cover your bum. And like the others have said, cycling tops with the pockets are great - where else do you put your spare food, tyre levers, inner tube, jacket when you get too hot etc.

My winter commute I almost always wear overshoes, but its on minor very wet roads, and I get cold feet anyway...
