@sallykate I mostly use a large plastic box to store cakes/carry them to work, although I've got an old Roses tin too. It is ENORMOUS compared to more modern offerings. (Just checked - it says 2.2kg of chocolate on the contents list :-) ).

I also have a couple of old square biscuit assortment tins, which are great for traybakes and cupcakes.

More blondies baked this afternoon. Filled with salted caramel M&Ms and topped with salted caramel Twix fingers.

Have resisted trying one as yet but they did smell nice out of the oven.

No baking. I made easy vanilla ice cream in my ice cream maker and put some chopped pistachio in it. It was lush.

We use plastic boxes too, or else put the cake on a plate, put the round edge bit form the baking tin round it, and put a plate on top.

Do you find things sweat more in plastic boxes, as they are more airtight? The reason I ask, is that twice we've had our Christmas cake get mouldy between baking it in late October and eating it at Christmas. I've guessed a combination of factors, plastic box, it being summer here, not having cooled it as well as I thought, and not feeding it with alcohol (I prefer it without).
