Great stuff, 12bD and jennywren.

I may have a pop at 70% on Saturday, but unlike last year I won't be racing enough distances to have the Silver Standard by the end of January.

I’m much quicker (proportionately) over short distances but I’m marathon training now so any more silver standard things will be later in the year. All these old birds doing marathons need to slow down!

I got a bundle of mid-70s (max 77) at shorter distances while or just after marathon training, but only 71.XX for the marathon itself.

25.32 over 5km for 70%. It'll be tight at my current fitness level, but there's only one way to find out.

I just squeaked to a 2019 70% Fetch standard on the final day of the year! Talk about leaving it to the last moment ;-)

Good luck V'rap! In my imagination all parkruns near you are basically short fell runs and therefore worth more than the % achieved.

Goofee, three of my closest parkruns are on tarmac and no more than gently undulating. My 76% for 5km at Workington last year definitely wasn't worth more than that.

WAVA really ought to be my future goals. Prob is I don't really race enough short distances. 74 or 75 is where I want to be. 5k hopefully but half might be a struggle. Need to actually book some races in! :-) G
