Xc this week, not happening, still too knackered from Conwy half. But a last Borders League the week after, fingers crossed finish the year racing on a 70, then a brand new local parkrun the week after, again a 70 target.

Then let the eating commence๐Ÿ˜

69.4% benchmark recorded on my lunchtime run. Not my fastest but Iโ€™m getting older so it slightly higher than my previous of 69.38% despite being 10 seconds slower over 5k

Just squeaked 70% at the Wilmslow 10k today. One positive - otherwise a bit disappointed with my time.

70% is 70% AL, that deserves congratulations!

(There were four of my clubmates running there today - did you see any Almost Athletes - purple vests? ;-) )

Well done AL, 70% is good.

Today for me also disappointed with my time on a 5 miler, but 1 second faster than September on a harder course, so 71.10% for me today.

It was blowing a gale from the West at Worthing parkrun yesterday. It was the old story, I struggled into the wind till the 180 degree turn on the promenade & then got blown back to the finish line. I finished in 23:21 giving me a WAVA of 71%.
Iโ€™m rather pleased with this considering the wind.

Finally, a Merry Christmas ๐ŸŽ„ & a ๐Ÿ˜Š Happy New Year to everyone on this thread.

Thanks David! Sorry, I seem to have missed the above post at the time, but sounds like a tough one - I don't think the wind behind you gives an equivalent boost to the hindrance of running into it, so very well done!

Well done also to all our 2019 seventy-percenters, celebrated in the side panel, especially those of you achieving 70% Fetch standard or better; Ally-C, Autumnleaves, bonners, Chrisull, DocMoye, Fenland Flier, HappyG(rrr), Jovi Runner, larkim, R4R & Velociraptor. Reaching 70% in one event is an excellent level of attainment for what is essentially a hobby, to reach that it three or more events in one year is a serious achievement and deserves recognition.

Best wishes to all on the thread, whether you achieved your goals in 2019 or strived (strove? :-) ) and fell short this time, best of luck in 2020!
