Well, good luck, anyway. My sister in law won one last year in Darlington, I think, in a time of about 26 minutes, whilst pregnant!

Well done, Greg. I'm feeling inspired for my own intervals tonight.

Attempted Tempo last night but overcooked it a bit, and frankly with the stress of resigning recently, and my right leg seizing up I only did 1m wu/wd with 1m fast in between, still it was 6:54 pace which is fast for me. Best ever was 6:41

No, there's even video evidence of her great victory on the internet somewhere. Her 3 year old was very impressed that mummy won 'pwoperly', rather than some rubbish 3rd lady or whatever. :)

Wow Jolguk! Impressive!

Yes Greg, well done BUT run harder next time! You CAN do it mister! :-)

Maybe just try a mile or a 1k as fast as you can go to build your confidence?

Greg, I have found confidence wise, it has been a good idea to try and do a mile flat out which for me last night was pretty close. eg - 7:00 pace. then try some tempo runs at 20-30s slower. Which should feel like an easier run.

For me that would be 7:20 pace or my 5k PB. Come race day I am sure I will go under it. build it up as well. My 5k is in 5 weeks. So next week my flat out session will hopefully be 1.5m at 7:00 pace or as close to. Then 2 weeks later 2m, then another 2 weeks and 2.5m, and finally Race day and a huge PB hopefully.

outside of that I will be doing the usual LSRs and recovery runs.
