We all empathise with you, Higgo.
I'm starting to think that normal service has resumed. I ran a half-marathon before breakfast - something I've not done in ages. Certainly helped by cutting back on sugary snacks and biscuits, drinking more water and attacking those hills. I tried visualising the Brighton Marathon course as I ran and imagined myself eliminating those climbs in the first ten miles. Admittedly, I did start to get tired around 12 miles but I'm a lot happier with my run than I have been for many months.

I’m really chuffed to have reached 100 miles in the first three months of the year. I’m likely to run more in the next 3, so could potentially get on track for 250 by the end of June.

Life has an annoying habit of getting in the way but you sound like you’re doing ok Higgo.
Well done Scribbler! Hope we get a run sorted together soon & maybe with Pen too.
SurreyPhil what a fab post!! Having had a nutritionalist guide me through the 4 weeks to Kielder realising what I ate and effect on training was fab.. shame I’ve fallen off the wagon this week... again life getting in the way.
Kirsty well done I find the first 3 months of the year are the hardest I’m sure you’ll be back on track in no time.
All good with me had an amazing Sports Massage on Friday the kind that makes you struggle to relax but you know will help. Parkrun on Saturday and I had a best time for a while still miles of a PB but can’t have everything.
Hope everyone else is good & enjoying the start of light nights!!

Battling the lurgy at present GG. Hoping it’ll bigger off soon. Would be great to go for a run with you and Scribbler.
Had my second acupuncture session yesterday. Hoping it helps. It does seem to help relax me and increase range of motion.

The Scribbler
I got permission to drop today's run as I have houses to view this afternoon, on condition that I do my best to run 16k on Sunday. So I'm on the look out for routes and possible company for all/part of that run. I'm tempted to do the run for Bob route and add a couple of miles on, so that I can treat myself to an ice cream at the finish.

Good evening all! I'm very gradually and cautiously getting back to running. This week I have done the grand total of 10 miles in 3 runs! My mileage target is 500 for the year, and if I have no further injury problems I should manage it, but judging by the last 2 years, nothing is anything like certain. At the moment I'm 55th on the 500s League Table! I'm currently increasing mileage by 1 mile per week, and I'll just see how things go.
I know that lots of you are doing really well, getting PBs and nearly PBs. (I'm getting plenty of PWs at the moment!) I notice people running mad distances or running at crazy times. I like to see where I'm going, although this morning I did bump into a telegraph pole with my arm - at about 11am!
Good Night all, and enjoy the rest of the weekend. See you next week.

It’s good to read that you’re able to get back into running Evangel. A slow and steady return is best.
I hope that you’re able to maintain your health and fitness to be able to accomplish your target.
By the way, that sentance applies to all of us.
