The Scribbler
That was a challenging run and 3 laps or 16k was enough for me today. It's what I needed to tick off for training and with that hill it was hard work. Well done GG.

Gg well done that’s and awesome medal

I ran a pb at vale of York 10 mile today 1.40.37 does a little dance. I have an upset hip flexor now though (top front of thigh next to groin) 😩😡 gggrrrr so plenty of stretching. If anyone has a killer stretch i would appreciate it!

Nutso - pigeon pose in yoga is a really good deep hip flexor stretch. Here’s a good explanation with plenty of adaptations depending on your flexibility: ekhartyoga.com

Well done Nutso on the PB,

Well done Scribbler and gg, sounds like challenging conditions
Those multi lap events are tough, done a couple myself and they are harder than you think they're going to be.

Well done Nutso that’s a fabulous time! PB DANCE!! Hope the hip / groin settles soon.

Sv did you manage Bromley?

Phil how was Brighton?

Shattered today I felt like a cold was coming on Saturday and today I have a sore throat runny nose sneezing so feeling sorry for myself. I could do with another 10hr sleep!

The wind certainly made it challenging and didn’t help fight off this bug. Zzzzz

Hi everyone. Brighton was enjoyable albeit frustrating as something tweaked in my right calf at mile 9 which meant a long run-walk to the finish. I got around in 5:03 although I was hoping for something closer to 4:50. I'll write a short blog tomorrow when I have more time.

Hope you have a great north Tyneside Scribbler it is a shame I miss this with being away at Easter now. But heading out for a run myself in a few mins before it gets too hot like yesterday.

Higgp hope you have a great race too.

Happy Easter everyone.

About This Thread

Maintained by geordiegirl
*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
