Hi GG. I’ve been monitoring your blogs and feeling for you with the trials and uncertainties that you’re experiencing. Fingers crossed that the planned flights happen🤞
Running is on hold for me whilst as I have to stay at home. (I sold my treadmill a few months ago which I now regret!) I’ve bought a turbo trainer for my bike which I shall start to use today. I’ve also been using my wife’s Joanna Hall “Lose a size for life” exercise DVD to give me some cardio workout.
I hope that everyone is ok too. Look after yourselves.

The Scribbler
The last couple of weeks I've only done 2 runs a week rather than 3, so my weekly mileage is a teensy bit down, but still hanging on in there.
Trying to keep to the one form of exercise a day, limit my outside time and run on a weekday morning when there are not so many people around means I've neglected shorter, speedwork type sessions.
I've got some kind of structure in my week now, so I'll keep on going and see where I can sneak in another small run, even if it's a grocery or pharmacy one.
Sorry that your running is on hold ER but it sounds like you have some good alternatives.

ER, I presume that it's not an option for you to run from home on the local roads when things are quiet. I go out with my wife (GrandmaS) at 7.30am for a half-hour run each morning. If we meet another pedestrian then we cross the road if necessary. We do have a treadmill so 3 times a week I top up my mileage on it. However if your own options are satisfactory, then that's great.

ER, sorry I've done it again. GrandmaS didn't write the above - I did! I had just gone to update her record, and I forgot to go back to mine!

Also sorry to hear you can’t get our for a run ER hope you find something alternative to keep you busy.
Scribbler is your house sale still going through Ok? I sure hope so after all this time.
Great work Ev & GrandmaS.
I’ve not ran for a couple of days we’ve walked miles though. Where we were staying although lovely meant wading through the sea to reach the main beach it wasn’t great running with wet shorts and other routes would have been fairly short.
It belted down all night where we now are and a very restless night so didn’t get up for a run but may go out later after our walk to town - very cloudy and mixed weather so no beach today.

Thanks Evangel and GG. I have been out for an early run, but even at 5:30am I encountered a few other people walking or running. We gave each other a good wide berth. I do feel that although the risks to me are low by running where and when I run, it would be irresponsible for me to ignore the guidelines as I am on immunosuppressant medication having had a kidney transplant. I really do need to minimize the risk to myself and to avoid potentially being a burden to the health service and my wife who was my donor. It’s best to stay in our bubble and avoid as much contact with others as is possible. Running will happen again 😀

ER, I'm so sorry. Perhaps, as you say the best thing would be to exclude possibilities of contact, and completely stay at home, as you are in a very vulnerable position. Sorry to have suggested that you do anything different.
This morning, we had our usual 7.30am run of 2.25 miles, then I did 3 miles on the dreadmill.

GG - fingers crossed that as much as possible is being progressed with the house sale. We accepted had an offer accepted before the lockdown and our estate agents who also represent the people whose house we want to buy are still working as best they can although not having people into the office. Mostly now it's paperwork and we'll use Easter to start sorting through 20 years of stuff! Although we can't get rid of anything or take anything to charity shops at the moment. It might take a bit longer but hopefully once restrictions start to be lifted we can ease forwards. Although I'm in no hurry to give up my sea views.

Evangel, there’s no need to apologise. I’ve got several ways of maintaining fitness as well as those I’ve mentioned. I’ve been able to increase my daily total in the 5002 press ups in 2020, and also have arranged it’s my Pilates instructor to have classes via Zoom.
Scribbler, I hope that things progress well in the house move. 🤞

I'm impressed by everything you're all getting done! I've not been out now for 3 weeks. My 1hr/day of outdoor time is used for the kids, and in the week now I'm back in the hospital, there's no time. Frustrating as I'd made a better start to the year than I'd dared hope for. But wow, what I'd give for an hour of just heading out the door and seeing where my feet take me. Maybe I should check out treadmill options...
