Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly SP and glad you’re on the mend. Great run time celebrate.

I’m busying myself in the garden today I will attempt a run later but strangely lost the mojo to run which is crazy as I have all the time in the world. Once I’m out I’m ok but I think it’s the avoidance but I’m struggling with.

Hope you’re all doing ok.

Gardening is good exercise too, gg. I spent most of Easter weekend tidying up and could easily do more albeit the garden waste bin is already full.

As a blessing in disguise, I should be down at the Brighton Marathon today. Thankfully, it has been postponed until 20 September as I would have done myself a mischief if I had been running it today.

It is indeed. I’ve also cleaned the canopy for the boat need to do the soft top on the car next. It’s such a beautiful day here today.

Today's run gave me a new record for miles in a month, and we still 11 days left of April! Quarantine has definitely helped me run more. I ran a very lowly 88 miles in 2019, if all goes to plan this month then I'll run nearly as many miles in April as I did in all of last year!

Hope everyone is holding up okay.

The Scribbler
Went out for a little run this morning, but wasn't really feeling it, so turned it into a walk. So nice just to feel the breeze on my face.

Because I don't have a garden, just a shared yard, my outdoor time is limited to exercise or walking to the local shops. I'm getting very excited about going to bring my washing in :-)

Also thinking, would this thread be interested in a Zoom call one evening, just to say hi? Remember this is the most introvert of introverts suggesting this :-)

I’m another introvert who is up for this. It would be nice to be able to put a face and a voice to our handles.
Not being able to go out, it would be a good opportunity to “pseudo go out”.

Another introvert. I’d be up for it *being brave* It helps that I know scribbler and GG on the thread :-)

I am lucky enough to have a garden and also get quite a bit of outside time on days that I’m working (including today - first ever ‘on call’) as I walk or cycle to and from work (just under 3 miles). I get to see quite a few people too in real life at work.

I’d love to have a zoom call but I need educating to what zoom is and how it works!

Called to my cousins for a socially distant gift giving today I bought the kids stuff from Oz and kids being kids it’s hard to wait when they know we would have them something. A little one stayed indoors and modelled his t-short - flipping heck good job I have it to him now - it won’t fit in a couple of weeks. Elder one actually stayed outside for a little bit which is amazing normally she is a typical teenager locked in her room. Didn’t stay long & stayed well distant but nice to see them.

My brother dropped off some Asian ingredients today that we’d ordered on line and he made me a curry - think he’s technically put in an order for a retuned favour pizza one night.

GG, Zoom is a free app for video conferencing.
The person arranging the “meeting” sends out an invitation email to all the participants giving the time and date of the meeting.
On the invitation there is a link which will take you to the meeting. (There is also a meeting reference and a passcode on the email, but I’ve never had to use this yet, as the link seems to take me straight there).
I’m a bit naive when it comes to tech, but I found it fairly straight forward.

I have a zoom app! Be fab to have a catch up if we can.

Did Julia Buckley’s workout this morning it was fab a few burpees and bridges then into some yoga type exercises. Really enjoyed it. I may do a run after work today.

Have a good week everyone.

Also well done on your running mattglen sorry I missed that post yesterday.

About This Thread

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
