Gosh it’s the beginning of September! Just got back from 2 weeks holiday, couple of nights near Glastonbury then 11 nights on the Isle of Wight!

I DNF’ed my 100k, I just ran out of run at 43 miles! Onwards and upwards I’m still running every day and working on a 10 mile a day average for the year!

Still a few events to come!

How’s everyone else?

I admire your resilience, jelly :)

I'm no longer in contention for 2000+ miles. Currently 123 miles below the line and there's no way I'll be doing 200-mile months for the rest of the year. Should manage 1800 if everything goes smoothly from now.

I've run out of legs on an ultra. I know how you feel. There was no prospect of any more running so I dropped out. Easy enough to find a marshal as me and my mate were plum last!

Vrap, you can have some of mine. I find myself on almost 1800 somehow...

All going well here. Ramping up to VLM and have sore legs but then again, when are they not sore? Maidenhead Half on Sunday which I intend to try and run at MP on tired legs, should be fun!

Mileage has tailed off a bit in the last couple of months (work/holidays/mojo) so now falling short off the 200mi/month stretch goal. Today marks day 497 of the streak though so still on track to get past the 2000 mile target.

Despite higher mileage than June and July dropping further behind target (-4%). Still struggling with knee issues and Chiltern Wonderland 50 only 2 weeks away. Slowly improving but unsure if it's too late.

I increased by milage over August in the lead up to the Thames Path 100km race next weekend. In the process I set personal best milage for a single week and month, and got over the 2021 mile total a head of schedule.

The Stour Valley Path 50km went alright - I didnt really taper as I was using it as a bit of tourism/race rehersal and didn't plan out the water stops properly. With the race starting at a sunny 1pm, this resulted in a slow grind through the middle sections. Overall, it was a great course and I would recommend the event but I probably didnt commit enough beforehand to make the most of the day.

Happy running everyone.

Still chugging along at a bit over the required run rate which I should maintain for September with VLM hoving into view next month. Niggles, particularly calf, have been receding so I might just be coming into my version of full fitness: 20+ early tomorrow will be a good test.

Best wishes to all.

Good to see the positives and hope peoples issues clear up soon. Good luck for the upcoming races :-)
