Here is the round up for July.
Big_G: I have done 1169 miles, so I am just 5miles behind now, which is the closest I've been following a poor start to the year. I did 3 marathons over July, which helped, but also I'm enjoying my running/training again too. Hoping that I can maintain it and maybe post in August’s update that I am actually ahead! Time will tell.
Velociraptor: In July I've avoided falling further behind my 2000 mile target, but I remain over 60 miles adrift. I'm hoping to summon up the motivation to do some longer training runs in August.
Oscar the Grouch: I'm still ploughing on ahead of schedule. A 50k race at the start of the month helped again... Good to see events back on and people back out doing what they love.
SailorSteve: Bimbling along here, fairly steady at around 10% above the run rate. Not quite feeling the normal love just now, as I’ve had an irritating little calf niggle for a month or so. Tightens up after half a mile, then eases off to nothing; it was forcing me to stop and walk for a minute or so for a while, so I guess it’s improving now. It makes the early stages of every run a bit stressful at the moment, waiting for it to happen/not happen, but hey ho. Managed to scrape up an old man age category win a the Goodwood Half recently, so still in the game! Best wishes and happy running to all.
Jimmyx: July was the start of a double endurance block for me and everything went well through the first half/month (it was my highest milage month on record). All going well, I should be hitting the target at the end of part 2 - just as I start my taper for the Thames Path 100km. Looking forward to some racing!
Happy running folks

Sorry Jimmy, never did send my update
July for me was all about Endure 24, a 24-hr race I was running as a pair. My mileage before the race was lower than usual and it was mainly taper but then I managed to do 70 miles/112km at the event leaving me at 363km for the month which is about average. I did however do a 140km week which is my highest ever. For the year I am +28% vs target so on trajectory for my highest mileage year. Only London marathon to go and then I’m giving up running long

Thanks Jimmy, I got distracted and forgot to send mine.
July not much different to June although I did just about manage to get over 100 for the month, including 25 at Endure24. Still restricted by knee niggles.
101 for June, 1175 for 2021. Below target for the first time since June (-10 miles, -1%). Better pull my finger out, Chiltern Wonderland 50 in under 7 weeks!

This Saturday I’m doing my first 100k race the Stour Valley Path.. yesterday I googled a little pace calculator which was a little reassuring as far as making it through checkpoints!
I’ve heard there are some very overgrown paths but I’m just hoping the faster people will trample it down a bit!

I was hoping that the Stour Valley Path 100km runners would deal with the overgrown paths . Failing that, hopefully some long socks will make it easier.
Jelly, all the best for Saturday!

Good luck jelly!
I was on and aid-station for the North Downs Way 100 Saturday and went for a run on part of the course once the sweeper came through. I was hoping the 200+ runners who had been through would have cleared some of the vegetation... nope! They did manage to churn up the mud nicely though!
