June’s roundup

Jelly (limegreenjelly)

My mileage is pretty steady finishing the month with 336 miles!

I’ve had a double marathon and survived my first 24 hour event all good training for SVP100 in August!

Chunkywizard
June should see my highest distance month this year with current distance 355km and 28Km planned. Peak distance was last week with 100Km as I near Endure 24 which is under 4 weeks away now. I had one race which wasn't the best so we will forget about it :-) Overall for the year, I'm just ahead of 2020 which makes it a record year so far, I'm +26% on the 2000 mile target :-)

StuH

Very little running since my 50 miler in May, in fact 1/3 of this months mileage came in one run, the Hampshire Hoppit marathon. Been struggling with calf/knee niggles. In fact this looks like being my lowest mileage month since 2014, the year I started running.

74 for June, 1060 for 2021, 63 miles (6%) above target. Hoping for a better July!

Oscar the grouch

I find myself over 1300 miles for the year, which is somewhat unexpected. I have an autumn marathon or two and so expect to keep up the 200+ miles a month I have been doing.

As far as June is concerned, I started with a race...an actual race. 32 miles at the Dartmoor Discovery and the extra miles paid off with a 9 minute pb. I tail ran Exmoor Perambulation a couple of weekends ago which was another 30 miles and I have a 50k mid-July. Easy to rack up the miles with 30 mile races!

Good to see others hitting their targets and the encouragement of the thread :-)

Lovely to see some races on the thread and some great mileage been reported

Hopefully July will see more races and more miles with autumn marathons to train for.

As for me June was mainly a recovery month from Boston UK marathon. Feel like the legs are fine and now time to get back to marathon training for the marathon in November. Great Grimsby 10k in July to look forward to.
June’s mileage 75 miles

Any more summaries please Fmail me and I will put them on
Happy running folks

It seems that we are at the end of another month - how time flies when you are out running :)

As there is no one listed for the monthly roundup, I will volunteer myself. Please fmail me your summary and I will collate them tomorrow/Sunday night.
