Job done for me at London yesterday. Crept under my 3.30 target, nothing left in the tank at the end but nothing fell off or went pop; very happy.

Hope everyone else went well.

Easy week now, then back on it.

Well done. I managed to get round but it wasn't pretty. I've got less than 100km to go to hit taregt though. Easy this week like you.

2285 miles to end Sep. I have shifted my goal up a bit to match reality 🤗

Well done, Steve and you, CW. Pretty or not, it's a long way.

I have less than 80 miles to get over the 2,000, 120 or so for an all time best and only about 15 to go past last year's total. I am rather further on than I expected to be! Body is creaking though.

Hi CW, I know I only recently asked you to put my name against Newport, but I am going to be a DNS I am afraid. I had Covid, and although I came out of self isolation a week ago and I am back running, I think at this stage a marathon isn't the best idea. I reckon if it had been in another week or two I may have toed the start line, but I think at this stage it would take too much out of me. I am fine and back running, but I am still quite tired on occasion, and also I know from my HR stats that I am not firing on all cylinders at the moment. Good luck to anyone else running at Newport, or elsewhere, this weekend!

Sorry to hear that, G.

I missed the milestone, but I went through 2000 miles on Tuesday this week. I have an annual best that is now only 20 miles away and *should* be achieved on Sunday at Newport, sorry, G

That’s tough but good call I’m sure Big_G. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

….and please wipe off the Pompey marathon in December for me when you get a moment Chunky. All is well but I’ve decided that two autumn marathons are enough for me, whatever happens on Sunday.

I didn't report back on my target race over there ->

I had a better run than I deserved at the Chester Metric Marathon, and an unexpected 75% age grade. Enjoyed it a lot as a race distance. I've wiped the 2000 mile target, though. I'll be doing well to get 1800 this year.
