UltraDunc Nov 2021 2:48pm, 7 Nov 2021 13,683 posts	0 UltraDunc That’s another box ticked courtesy of a 17 mile long run, so now aiming for another 500 before year end. A 40 mile ultra next Saturday will keep the average up though next day will probably be a few slow miles only for the streak

My highest monthly mileage this year has so far been 231, and I need 227 in December to make it. I will just do my thing this month and see what happens. I do have a marathon on NYE so it will be interesting to see where I am the day before NYE, as I don't expect I will be cramming anything in after the marathon to make up any missing distance! But I suppose if I am literally just 2 or 3 miles behind, I could be tempted! I have had a couple of poor months (just 40 miles in February due to concussion and I never really made the missing mileage back following that, plus just 86 in October due to Covid), but other than that I have been pleased so far and have had a fairly consistent year.

After a really strong start I've had a poor second half of the year including DNFs in two of my 4 50 milers. Looks like I'll finish with just over 1800 done
