Book some races Chunky 😱!
I think I’ve got 8 more official marathons, 7 booked and I’ll do the other after next weeks track 100 if I need it 😂

I too am now looking like finishing just over 1800, some 500 miles less than last year!
Hopefully I've turned a corner though. 🤞

LOL Jelly. I have a 5 miler in November and 2 trail runs in December so something to aim for. Oh and XC session kicks off this week. That should keep me busy.

I finished up my racing year on Sunday morning with the completion of the Cockbain Track100. The first 5/6 hours went really well - I felt like I was running real easy and was making good distance. At this point, a previous niggle in my knee (from the first week of the taper) started to re-appear and got worse to the point where I was only able to walk for about 90 minutes. Things got fairly low during this period and I was about to pull the plug but I thought I should at least try a light run given the time that I had invested over the year. This then lead to some faster running. It was unconfortable (not sore) for most of the race but problem solved my way through it and the long cold night (thankfully there was only a small amount of rain this year). Finished up just before sun rise, almost two hours faster than last year.
Overall this year - I had a great senic trip along the Stour Valley Path race, fun at some local races, and solid PBs in both 100km and 100 mile races. This has also been my highest milage year on record and I will hopefully add small amounts to that over the next couple of months.
Not sure what I will look to do next year. The original plan was to have a more casual year and try some other things/sports/etc but race ideas and training plans were starting to brew before I got home on Sunday. First some rest thou
