Nice surprise Mrs J!
Nice one Gobi.
Stu - massive congratulations, so pleased for you! I know you've put a lot of hard work into your training so really pleased it's paid off for you. Had heard it was hot in Brighton today, so must have made it that bit harder, but you did it

Well done everyone. In some ways I'm glad I wasn't running yesterday, but in other ways I'm jealous! Have postponed my return until tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Broiled to death in Brighton yesterday. It was going to be hard as a first marathon after nearly 2.5 years and a little undertrained, so was a run/walk affair. Water stations from mile 12 were 50:50 as to whether they had water/cups or both or neither. At one, they handed us a cup and told us we could fill them in the showers around the corner.
That will be my last visit to Brighton. My first marathon there in 2013 was a PB but I got lost getting back to the station to get the hell out of there...(trying to avoid everyone else trying to get to the station!)
