Loch Ness was brilliant ran 17m with my friend (it was her first marathon) I needed to ease off (hip flexor was shouting) so she went on her own. I felt strong and got a 28m PB came in at 5.23. Weather was rubbish with some heavy downpours but nothing takes away the scenery & support.

Back out today for a gentle leg stretch.

Glad you’re back westmoors you’ll soon be back to your old runs

Steve you do amazing consistency is key. Celebrate what you can do now & be proud of what you used to do

Ev like me you’ve had a couple of injury filled years good to see you’re back on form.

I think the fact that we are all still running is the main thing. We all go through good and bad spells, but pick ourselves up again.

Geordiegirl, well done for your Marathon PB, especially in adverse weather conditions.

This morning was my first post marathon run, and I was amazingly ache and pain free. I ran a relaxed 6k on roads.

Congrats on your PB GG. I’d like to do Loch Ness. Good news HS.
I daren’t run in the dark Steve as prone to tripping up but was always fun.

I did 5 miles of Fartlek this morning. Heading to Ireland tomorrow to see my 90 year old Dad who I’ve not been able to see since Covid.

Congrats on your PB at Loch Ness GG - my wife and I ran it in 2019, and both absolutely loved it. Sounds like we had slightly better weather for it though 😂

Oh I did it in 2019 too. The weather at the start in 2019 was worse but so beautiful rest of the day. This cold and damp at the start and it varied throughout but my hands just couldn’t get warmed through.

Definitely one to aim for LL

Well done GG! I did it in 2012 and would love to do it again. Will wait a few years till the wee man is a little older.

I did 4 miles, easy paced last night, no lasting damage, it was raining. Legs are sore today. Will try another one tomorrow morning if I can get a good nights sleep.

Hope the left quad foamed out ok gg. Good to see you and hs back doing what you do after those marathons. Good too that you had a successful run Leslie even if your legs were a bit sore, hopefully that's temporary.
Tripping up is never good LL and darkness increases that risk of course; my head torch is amazingly bright and the ground looks as if it's a sunny day when I put it up to max. I've tripped and fallen about a dozen times in forty odd years some in daylight, some in darkness!
Plugging away at consistency ( thanks gg) and enjoyed a balmy four or so in the dark this morning.
