Thanks GG, I'm feeling much better now. Just awaiting results of a FIT test, and have a blood test on 1st November. Good luck with Meriden. Well done JackFW for your 10.22k on the way to work. Well done Steve for your 3.2 miles this morning with your wife on roads. Thanks for your comments re my training. Well done Lesley for your 96th parkrun, and for volunteering as tailwalker. A great photo by the way. Donnie 1, I believe that your pb of 3hrs 47mins makes you much more than a jogger! With reference to the 10k splits during your marathon yesterday, they are quicker than I can run just the one these days! Keep on running/plodding duo😁 I Don't think that I mentioned it yesterday, but the torrential rain got into my eyes so that I could hardly see. They really stung, and my left eye started to 'weep.' My vision was a bit blurred, so I couldn't read in bed as usual before going to sleep. Thankfully, they were ok this morning. I had a really enjoyable run this morning with Sarah F and Mike, part of the Monday Group. We ran 7.7 miles on roads as a magical mystery tour 😀 At one point, Mike moved as if to turn left up a footpath, and then carried straight ahead. I said to Sarah ' He sold us a dummy!' She had never heard of the expression. |

Well done Donnie! You should be pleased with that given the conditions. Good luck GG. I'm sure you will have a great run. Not really been watching the backyard ultras but I do personally know Mike R, he's a fantastic runner and I'm sure he will do well. Good miles everyone. |

Well done Donnie, excellent run. It was a bit windy at Abingdon but we were lucky compared to the forecast and it was nothing like as bad as York. @geordiegirl I'm also doing Meriden with my friend Tom so maybe see you at the start! We're heading towards London in theory... I'm also tempted by a BYU as the closest I'll be able to get to Barkley! There's some pretty local to us and at least crewing admin is easier than other ultras... |

Oh that would be fab I will have my fetch buff on! We’re heading towards Stafford to reduce some distance for friends wife to collect us. You need to sign up for Gert Lush The Berkeley Marathons UK, Laz helped Paul to create the route and while it’s very much a baby version of the Barkley it’s there! I’ll also be there in Sept! |

So it wasn't as bad an experience as you might have thought Donnie1. Great splits with an even pace and glad you weren't under dressed. Well done on the outcome . Things seem to be going well hs so fingers crossed that your texts confirm that. Despite it raining and being dark we donned head torches and enjoyed four miles this morning. Torey now has a waterproof cast so running in the rain isn't an issue. |

Thanks Steve, I felt strong yesterday, and seem to be making progress re the indigestion. Well done for your 4 miles in the dark and rain this morning with Torey. No rain here, in fact, bright and sunny 😎 just the usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning. The supermarket is still undergoing its major overhaul, but I'm beginning to find my way around. It's good exercise walking up and down the isles trying to find things. The running club has set up a WhatsApp group, which should be an efficient way of keeping in touch re running matters. |

Overcast and breezy but shorts and t-shirt was ok. Just over 7 enjoyable miles this morning. That's another couple of days grace before Steve catches me up 😉

Donnie that’s a fantastic effort considering your injury and lack of long runs. You should be proud of that one. Managed a slow 5k jog yesterday to test out the calf and no after effects so decided to try aqua jogging today, a bit weird getting the technique right but after 30 mins felt like a proper workout. Checked my HR afterwards hardly got into warm up zone 😁. Goes to show how much pressure the water exerts. Would definitely recommend it as a CrossFit exercise for non running days. |

Wow, @geordiegirl that's awesome, tbh as someone from the South West you had me at Gert Lush as the name of the organisers... I don't have a Fetch buff but I'll probably be wearing my new Abingdon one... |
