Thought I would just pop in and wish Donnie all the best for the Yorkshire marathon.
Personally I’m still rehabbing the calf so no runs yet since the Lisbon Marathon, good progress I’m not limping any more 😊.
Keep up the running folks.

Glorious Saturday morning here in south Wales but trails were saturated and too unpleasant to run along this morning. 4.6 miles and no issue with adducter. A few events for tomorrow including the Great South Run and York Marathon will probably have to contend with the forecast storm. Unless I was fast I'd be wearing a rain jacket! I guess you're ready Donnie1, enjoy the day despite the weather.

Wishing you the best of luck with the Yorkshire Marathon Donnie1. I hope that the weather isn't as bad as forecast.
It's good to hear MrHSc that your calf is making good progress since the Lisbon Marathon.
It's a nice sunny morning here in Hampshire too Steve 🌞
Well done for this mornings 4.6 miles with trouble free adductor.
I ran the GSR for many years, including the very first one, which was held in Southampton. It's been in Southsea every year since, and the final mile has always been very windy. The forecast for tomorrow is strong winds, so it will be even worse. There are 25,000 entrants, the highest ever. It's not being televised, but always was in previous years.
I ran a solo 10k fartlek this morning on roads. I had intended to forest run, but with all the recent rain, it would have been very muddy.

Good luck for tomorrow Donnie.
Rain here all morning and the sun is out now. I was considering a run but have changed my mind as I can't be bothered getting changed.

Went out in the dark and pouring rain intended 5k but cut it short to 2.5 miles because I wasn't plodding as well as I wanted to! Didn't mind the rain but spoils the chances of getting onto trails.

Excellent fartlek session hs; pity the rain has soaked off road routes but your alternative is good training. (As usual!!).

Well done Steve for getting out in the adverse conditions for your 2.5 miles.
Thanks for your comments on yesterdays fartlek session. It was a bit ambitious, I suppose, after nearly a week of non running. The previous walking gave me the confidence.
This morning was 4.29 on roads in the wind and rain with a running friend. We had intended 5 miles, but the rain was so heavy that we decided to call it a day. Additionally, the rain was stinging my eyes, and they are still 'watering' now.

Miles behind the updates again, sorry guys (the usual crazy life but fingers crossed it is starting to slow)
So very sorry for your loss falcarius, sending strength and well done on the run.
Scottdog good luck with the surgery and getting back running in time.
I have a very similar outlook LL I’m not fast never will be but after a lot of ill health in my teens - early 40’s I’m forever grateful I can still bimble and the lack of speed works for the stuff I do enjoy.
Sorry to have missed your not feeling well hs, hope you’re soon sorted and glad the adductor is behaving itself Steve.
Well done on all the racing and training and I’ll check out your blog MrsB
Hope you’re doing ok out there Donnie! It’s definitely damp and blustery driving north. I don’t envy the backyard ultra world team UK out on their 25th yard. Fetch’s own MikeR. Currently leading the pack. My coach Kazy out there with only 3 ladies making the team.
I have been increasing miles again it’s only 4 weeks to Meriden, I did 3.5hrs on Friday and while I slowly plodded along and fairly sure I can make the 24hrs provided I can keep up with my pals. I have a plan B to just let them go and me follow somewhere behind if necessary. We have a plan to get to the 60m as the crow flies which will be a distance PB for one of the guys and has to be achievable in 24h, I did the wall (70m) in 20:46 so fingers crossed!
