I'd walk too and impress them with your fitness. I've done my first run of the month this morning, a swift 5 miles and it was an enjoyable run which is what was missing and why I stopped running frequently. |

LL, so close to the 800! FF, I'm glad that you enjoyed this mornings 5 miles, the first this month. Thanks both, I was contemplating driving, but will have another think. I didn't have any problems with this mornings Farmers Walk. |

Super run LL and good Farmers Walk hs. Only three bags today but another walk later then which all points to how fit you are. When I had my RSV jab a couple of weeks ago I was asked how I got to the vaccination centre.... apparently if one had driven you were advised to sit down for ten minutes following the jab. I said I'd walked ( 2 miles) and was walking home and it raised eyebrows and not considered "usual"😂. Had my flu jab today, just a half mile walk to my surgery.... The folks here on this thread are great examples to health professionals etc who want to see a healthier population. |

I did Oxford Half on Sunday- my time was 01:46:09. I am pleased with that all things considered, I had a family bereavement (my sister died) so I didn't train for it. I only decided to run it about 4 weeks ago as I was tempted to pull out. I still feel like a cripple but I hope I can do a run tomorrow I hope everyone's running is going well. |

Congrats, Lesley. Well done. I suspect our respective races were chalk and cheese. Steve, sorry to hear about your abductor injury. I hope it’s not too serious. Well done on your 10k race, LL. FF, it’s awesome to see you have found some enjoyment in your running again. That’s what it is all about HS, I always choose walk over drive where I can, conditions permitting. It all adds up. PF, well done on the half. It’s been a journey, Donnie. I’m very happy with the result notwithstanding missing the primary target. It was still a PB and I had a great day. And it gives me something to work towards, but I think I will follow Lesley and do a more hilly scenic course in the countryside next so another PB may be a while away. I will come back to the sub-4 hour goal later. Good luck next weekend. Look forward to hearing how you go in Yorkshire. First run back this morning post race. 10km. Very slow. Felt okay. Quads sore but I think I can salvage them. The QE was docked at Port Melbourne Pier this morning. The cruise ship season has commenced. |

Falcarius, that’s a fantastic effort in Oxford, especially given the circumstances. Sorry for your loss.

That's not a bad time with little to no training @falcarius and I'm very sorry for your loss. I can imagine you not being completely in the zone after such a sad happening. Well done for your 10k. |

Good half marathon falcarius and only four or five minutes slower than you did in 2015. And on little specific training. Condolences on such a sad loss. It's great that people can think about PB's or even PW's although such pressure (!) has long been off my agenda. My adducter is stable but hurts too much to do much but did a little over a mile in the dark and torrential rain this morning. If I don't start the day off being physically active in some way it doesn't feel right! |

@falcarius very sorry for your loss. Well done on doing the run. I sometimes think when I’m struggling with my running to give thanks for my health and ability to do it regardless of pace.
