Even though I'm only run/ walking I can't believe that now I've strained my adductor following a bit of a sprint at the end of my 3.2 miles outing in the rain and dark this morning. Darn it(!) I can barely walk on it now and a necessary half mile walk and hour later was excruciating. I'm banking on a miraculous healing but if not then just too bad. Hardly the end of the world!
Phenomenal women's marathon world record in Chicago yesterday!

Well done Lesley, that was an excellent time on a tough course.

Well done LL for yesterday's 10k, that was a good time.

Well done MrsB for Chicago.

I'm very sorry to hear Steve that you have strained your adductor, and can hardly walk now. I hope that it doesn't take too long to heal.

Yes, that was an incredible marathon world record in Chicago. I'm surprised that there has been nothing on the news about it. I've been reading about it on the elite athletes thread.

This morning was just 2.68 miles run/walk back. I'm suffering with indigestion, which is effecting my running. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon which I hope will be able to sort it out.

Firstly a mention to those racing this weekend. Well done to all.

LL: stick with the pacer, shave a few seconds off last year, what's not to like.

Lesley: sub 5 on that course. Got to be happy.

Jack: started the journey with you back on the runners world forum, sense not dipping under 4 hours might be frustrating, but be happy, you've had a good run, a decent experience and have a reason to go back next year.

2.1 miles on the gym treadmill making Ytd 807.4

Might stick with the gym to help with suppleness and loss of strength (60 next year) rather than to use the treadmill.

Keeping moving but within pain / discomfort limits! Not a serious injury but a minor strain so only a mile in the drizzle and dark today. I couldn't walk on it properly yesterday morning without severe pain so surprised at improvement.
Looking good to reach the target Donnie1.

Great to see your progress Peter up to a half M and plenty of year miles too.

Thanks LL.

Donnie1, well done for your 2.1 miles on the treadmill. Regulars on this thread know that I can't get on with them.

Congratulations PeterF, for your first half marathon since 2019; quite an achievement!

Good to hear that your minor sprain has improved today Steve, so well done for this mornings mile.

The usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning at a brisk pace, as only 3 bags. I'm pleased with average hr 98, max 116.

I'm contemplating whether to walk or drive to the surgery this afternoon. It's approx 1.5 miles and all uphill going. I was thinking that I might be a bit out of breath walking when I arrived, which might give a misleading impression. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. šŸ˜

Probably too late but Iā€™d walk so long as you arrive early enough to settle down before.
I had a benchmark run today which was 9 mins long so I added a little to make it 1.5 miles and just saw it left me in 799.80 šŸ˜‚
