EdGreig, well done for this mornings quick 5k.

No running today, just a brisk walk to the supermarket. It wasn't a Farmers Walk, as I only had one bag.

Great running folks. Peter is really getting in the miles.

It's been very cold this week, been below 0. Tuesday I decided to try for a fast mile, I had a lot of bets on me (Horse game) so had to make sure I beat my time - I did. Then I coached the C25k group. Wore a number of layers, which were needed. 6.5 miles this morning in the forest, nice an early and didn't see anyone till I was almost home and very few cars on the road.

You sure are on a roll Peter, it's like back in the old days when you were regularly up there on the board!

Hope you're feeling a bit better now LL re how difficult it's been .
Good session Donnie1 but you can stick the TM!😂, dunno how you managed that as well .
Glad you're breathing is easier again hs, a fine session you did--- quality indeed.
Well done too on your hill session EarlyRiser and EdG for putting in a quick 5k despite your haemoglobin level .
Yeah, it's been much colder up there for you Lesley so well done on having a go for a fast mile on Tuesday. Your 6.5 sounded nice this morning despite the chill.
I did four miles on roads, temperature has risen slightly but it was damp, quite typical South Wales winter weather. I say "I did"four miles but walk/ running which I can't get out of currently. There was one hill!

Thanks Steve and well done on your 4.
You’re running well Lesley.

I got out and did what the garmin coach told me. Not quite hitting the paces but putting in the effort. Another half mile would have given me two green ticks, never mind.
I hope you’ve got your voice back Mrs B.
How come only 1 bag HS Are you on a diet? 😂

Hit the 100mile mark this morning on the treadmill!

Someone mentioned stick blenders. I love mine for making soups, but Husbando has put the motor bit somewhere and can’t remember where!!

Great running team and super fast mile Lesley! (thank you!)

Well done on the run sorry your haemoglobin was low Ed, regular occurrence for me, I found the last few times I've given blood (always when blood doesnt sink and they do the prick test which allows me to proceed) I've been poorly afterwards and totally wrecked. As I am already very run down I've not given any for a while - the last few sessions have coincided with me doing a big run or crucial point in training.

After a work run fail yesterday I knew my only option today was before work, got up & out and absolutely loved it. So to bottle that and remember it other mornings.

I have 1 week (if all goes to plan) to get a few more miles in but off to the Running Show this weekend, leaving earlier than originally planned tomorrow so highly unlikely I'll get any miles in now until Monday. There is a Flanci parkrun but I'm not overly fussed on that so I will probably offer to open up.

I also love my stick blender too. That and the attached chopper and whisk get a lot of use.

Lesley, well done for beating your 1 mile target, and then coaching the c25k group. Well done also for this mornings 6.5 miles in the forest.

Thanks Steve, I felt good yesterday and was able to put some effort in. Well done for this mornings 4 miles on roads.

Well done LL for following the coaches directions, and putting in the effort.

Only one bag this morning, as I had run out of a couple of essentials like potatoes. Definitely not on a diet.

Well done Mrs B for reaching the 100 miles on the treadmill.

I've never heard of stick blenders.

Well done GG for getting out for a run before work.

I hope that you enjoy the running show this weekend.

I didn't run this morning as I felt an ache in my right knee, the one that had the meniski tears way back in 2017. I took the opportunity to get a bit of shopping instead. I'm hoping that a couple of rest days will do the trick.

I'm typing this on my new tablet, which I am still getting used to.

Got something to say?
