Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wow @steve45 . You never done a park-run?! Whenever I get the chance to go to one I think everyone must be here. It's such a phenomenon. Always gives me a good-feel vibe. @Dubairunner I can understand difficulties, something to look forward to!

Back to Spain and ran along coast path to an old fort south of the town. 20k there and back. Think that's too much distance/time for me at my pace, but pleased I got it done all the same.

I am *almost* tempted to not log any runs for a while so that I don’t feel the need to compete! I hate my competitive streak.

Well done Steve for this mornings 2 miles. It's looking as if you intend to continue your streak this year?

Well done EarlyRiser for todays 20k.

Well done Peter for this mornings 4.1 miles.

Well done MrsB for overtaking Peter.

I've never been tempted to start a running streak, life's too short 😁

This morning was 8 miles solo on a hilly road course.

Never and will never do a park run EarlyRiser! I know it's an incredible phenomenon and fabulous for so many people but it's just not my thing. Racing was my thing when I could, no way am I going to "go somewhere" to do 5k , I'm not fond of groups...(miserable old codger😂!).
I understand that feeling Mrsb. I have a friend who goes out running with absolutely no idea how far he has run and does it for about 45 minutes. He enjoys it, even loves it but no pressure or competitive element. He was a regular sub three hour marathoner and his good days for racing over with . In some ways I wish I could not measure even for just a couple of weeks....but the 1000 nudges me too much!
What a great distance hs, well done on doing 8 miles. If I tried that currently I'd need to carry a packed lunch with me!
Heck, first rain since April Dubai R. Can't imagine that. Well done on two miles after work

4.1 miles on mainly sodden trails. And a bit of a hill thrown in. Don't know about intentions re streak hs but with my generally low/poor miles it doesn't take much out of me really.

Well done Steve and Dubai runner on your 2 miles after nights.

I had to force myself out the door today but it actually felt ok.
