Thanks GG and LL, the conditions were terrible, and the rain kept running into my eyes which stung! Many of the tree roots are now protruding more than ever, as the soil has been receding. This slows me down, as I am much older than the two I ran with, and am more cautious as my balance isn't as steady as it once was☹

A shame GG that your friends had rain at their wedding.

Enjoy your rest day today Lesley.

Good training sessions continue for you hs regardless of tree roots and hills. Can you do anything about what you see as not so good balance?

Fantastic mileage FF , you'll bump into my wife on the 1500 target but she tells me there isn't very much activity on that thread. Amazing too that your cycling is way up there too.
Thank goodness you did that extra 0.1gg, well done on your total

Hope your friend was ok after the fall LL , good going on your part to get out again to do your planned miles.
Fabulous 17.5 Mrsb and good to have the company of your fella. You've got six weeks til Berlin. Hamstring strategy?

Glad you're feeling better Lesley and able to do a10k. Onwards upwards!
Four miles this morning before it rained. Again! The clinic appointment will be interesting but unless there's a diagnoses with a positive medical intervention my running situation won't change. My GP and my running logs point to the long term after effects of covid. A waiting game. Plenty of time!

Thanks Steve, there's not a lot that I can do when running along narrow tracks with high-ish sides. I'm apprehensive about tripping and breaking my ankles. There is nothing wrong with my balance otherwise.

Went into the village this morning for a haircut 💇‍♂️

HS, your running is brilliant already, but no doubt a haircut will make you even more streamlined. For nearly 52 years, my hairdresser has done mine in our house and at no charge; we tell people that it was one of the wedding vows!

I'm now doing 3 runs per week, each of about 3 miles, but at a painfully slow pace. I hope to run tomorrow.

Evangel, it's good that you are now running 3 times a week.

Steve, my hairdresser yesterday said that I have a "classic crown."

There were just the two of us for this mornings interval session. It comprised run out and back; 5 x 100 metres, 5 x 200 metres with 30 seconds recoveries, and 4 x 400 metres with 60 seconds recoveries.

That all sounds very nice Evangel and I'm pleased you're managing to get out 3 times a week.
Pleased your friend is ok Looby Loo and well done for getting out and finishing off your run.
I hope you've settled back into work Lesley C and the little fella is sleeping better.
Well done for your continued running and slight improvement steve45, yes I shall bump into torey over there occasionally.
Great running and sessions as usual hillstrider.
17 miles for me this morning and I will now be absent for a couple of days and hope to be back Sunday with some more miles. Happy and proud parents day tomorrow.

Well done FF for your 17 miles this morning. I've run 100k so far this month, which is low compared with your mileage.
