Well done GG sounds lovely. I never pause my watch as I don’t think it’s a true reflection of what you’ve done.
Thank FF I hope so! 🤞

I hope you have a good day at the wedding FF.
I also hope that you enjoyed last Sundays wedding GG, and will Mondays also.
Well done Steve for this mornings 3.2 miles, gradually building up your yearly total.
I didn't do this mornings parkrun, see below.
Congratulations LL for smashing the 30 minutes parkrun barrier, even if by just a second 😁
I didn't do the parkrun because some of our runners preferred to do a birthday pub crawl run. Instead, I did an easy pace 5.2 miles road run with a friend who also didn't fancy the pub crawl. I think it was a wise decision, as pushing hard week after week in the parkruns can be counter productive.

To be fair I only normally pause the watch if we’re stopping for a cuppa or there’s a road I can’t get across for ages or I bump into someone unexpectedly and we have a natter, generally it’s just ticking away but today we were stopped for ages at times getting photos or looking for things.

I’m too insociable to stop for anything or anyone when I’m running as terrified I’d never get going again. 🤣

Of course you're right FF about pace etc. I'm not prepared to embrace my slowed pace completely and I expect to be able to run 5k again before too long ( well , before the years end!). I also optimistically hope for some outcome once I've had my appointment at the thoracic clinic . Today's run/walk was short, just two miles but my chest started "burning"; done a year's weekly best mileage though and it was heavily drizzling! Fabulous park run LL. I agree with your approach hs, it's counter productive to push for times every week . What a lovely sounding jaunt gg, enjoying a whole experience without spoiling it with the stop watch🙂. Hope you got the photos you wanted .

Here's one challenge done for the year
Just under 65 miles left of the 1000 miles in 2024 target before moving onto 1500.
Now it's just the cycling challenge to complete, just under 600 miles left to do but I only use my cycle for commuting as a rule.

Fingers crossed Steve that after the visit to the thoracic clinic, you will be able to increase your pace and mileage. 🫰
Congratulations FF for the badge for your high running mileage, and good luck for the outstanding 600 miles for your cycling challenge. 🚲
This morning was a solo 4.85 miles fartlek on a hilly road course.

I went out to do a 7 but my friend fell over at 2.5 and we had to walk back. I’m hoping I can motivate myself to get back out there and do another 4.5. Congrats FF and well done GG. Well done on your Fartlek HS. Fingers crossed Steve and every mile counts.
