My dad and MIL are both taking medication for T2 diabetes. My MIL still eats too much sugar, my OH has told her more than once. She also has multiple health issues and takes a lot of tablets every day.

My dad lost quite a bit of weight but he still eats sugar, he likes his fruit too. He has cut out a lot though. He is also on the border for going on tablets for high BP.

Hope your health improves Steve, pre diabetes can be reversed. Look after yourself.

I have been cutting down on ultra processed food, been watching the Zoe science and nutrition channel on you tube - it's scary what crap is in food that doesn't need to be.

Right, I’m still cross about the letter I have had from my doctor. I wanted an appointment to discuss HRT, got a phone call instead. Explained symptoms- was told that my joint pain would be solved by ‘losing weight!’ Had to get a blood test which showed that my cholesterol level is high. Letter told me to alter my diet and take up some form of exercise.

My diet is mainly fruit and veg, and I do a wee bit of this running stuff. My BMI is well within the healthy range (I’m a size 8/10). How dare they imply that it is my fault?

They didn’t even provide a breakdown of the types of cholesterol and triglycerides which would be useful information.

Lesley C - I’m reading Ultraprocessed People. The stuff that is marketed as food is grim.

Really Mrs B? That's rubbish. Doesn't the doctor know joint pain is symptom of perimenopause? You eat well and exercise and a healthy weight, think I would see another one if I were you.

Mine was slower too, over 31 mins. The whole 8 mile run felt awful.

Well done HS and LL this morning.

I've just looked for my parkrun email to find my time. It's been a while since I went to my local parkrun, today's result was 22.29. My 126th parkrun, my 94th at Boston, I came 11th overall, 10th male and 1st in my age group which surprised me. It was a progressive run overall.

Well done to hillstrider, hard luck LL and Lesley, I'm afraid thems the ups and downs of running, some good and some not so good.
Mrsb I'd be complaining and asking for a face to face which was requested in the first place.

Hard luck with your parkruns LL and Lesley, but your courses were probably tougher than mine.

Well done FF, that's an excellent parkrun time, and positions. I was first in my age category 75-80, but the only runner😁

MrsB, it sounds like your doctor doesn't have a clue ☹️
