Your "disappointing" park run was still quicker than the same park run at the very end of 2022 hs! I'm sure you were a bit hesitant yesterday after your fall.
Good running LL, can't knock a sub 30. Ugh to a knee niggle FF. As you know I had to stop any running with my knee niggle for a whole month and finally it seems ok.
Two miles still walking running because my chest/lungs etc still ain't firing the way they did pre covid. Goodness knows when I'll get seen at the thoracic clinic to overview what's going on. Enjoyed my outing regardless...and watching the GB Athletic Championships currently.

The knee niggle is irregular but seems worse after work, it generally doesn't bother me running. I fancied a cycle ride this morning for a change which is unusual, normally I only cycle for commuting. A pleasant 18 miles with a light rain shower and little wind.

My recent fall does seem a good excuse; thanks Steve! Well done for todays 2 miles, they all add up.
A long cycle ride makes a nice change FF, and might "help" your knee niggle. My physio recommended cycling after I tore my menisci in my right knee. I attended spinning classes twice a week which definitely helped me to maintain my fitness, and strengthen the knee.
I ran a recovery pace 4 miles on roads this morning, with occasional "bursts"

Wow I’ve missed so much firstly a huge happy belated birthday Steve I hope the body repair is going in the right direction, great to see you out and about again.
Lesley sending hugs for your race feeling, as others have said it sounded like a tough course and you did so well, hope the lady hormones mellow a bit (they are a pain I had a little emosh day this week too)
Hs sorry to hear of your fall esp when you were just crossing the road, I know my mam has lost a bit of confidence after some falls in recent years. Glad it hasn’t been too serious.
FF brilliant running! Esp with all things considered.
Good running from you too LL hope you enjoyed your Irish parkrun.
I’ve been awol as we’ve had a week at the boat I have also tried to have a bit of a break online too, I did some running but not as much as I normally would so currently behind the line for the month, although we did get lots of walks in. We had our silver wedding on the worst weather day we did manage a nice walk in the morning with Ellie and found a pub just before the heavens opened so we stayed for lunch. Home now and planning a gathering on Saturday with family and friends (mother in law was 80 last week too) so this week will be a low mileage week too I’m sure I’ll catch up.

Congratulations on your silver anniversary gg. I see you've still put in some good runs of 5 and 7 miles so you've not lost any fitness . An eighteen mile cycle ride seems a long way to me as an only very occasional cyclist. I'm far too wary of traffic these days and would cycle if cars would disappear! Good pedalling there FF.
Well done on your recovery 4miler hs ...even though you obviously couldn't resist the "bursts" of speed . Didn't run early this morning because I was simply too tired . The athletic championships over the weekend were good to watch. The 5k walk saw the winner of the men's race finish in around 21 minutes!!

I mostly stick to back roads Steve for my running and cycling where I can. My commutes to and from work are different obviously. 21 minutes for a 5k walk is incredible, I may have to try walking instead of running 🤣🤣

Those walkers amaze me I can’t even do a 21min 5k if I did a full out sprint!
Hope the knee behaves FF, mine keeps doing a funny think, like it’s slipping but generally when I’m standing or walking like you no issues running- very bizarre.

My knee played up a bit yesterday at work GG, I think I notice it more at work than home, perhaps I twist on it when I move from standing still or it's impact from getting in and out of a van.
