Well despite trying to sabotage my race Thursday by running 13.5 miles and then a very slow 3 mile warm-up before the race I managed a 44.15 race time. I'm very happy with that and tbh surprised too. My knee and back behaved and I'm chuffed with the result. It's also my best wava for that race. I suppose that's the benefit of getting older.
Thanks for all the best wishes they obviously helped :-)

For sure that’s fab FF and you’re in a great place now. You deserve it after all the trouble you’ve had with injury. Well done 👏

What with a niggling knee, a back ache and poor sleep... not forgetting a long run two days before and you still beat your target FF. Can't knock that, well done indeed .
I managed a 3.5 miles this morning sticking strictly to a heart rate zone of no more than 120 as part of my "long run walk" endurance build up😂. Goodness knows if I'll get much better before the year is out but I'll continue to have a go!!

Well done FF, that's very impressive, especially with your aches and pains.

Well done Steve, you are gradually upping your run/walk mileage. Keep it up!

I was very disappointed with my parkrun time this morning of 32.05. I think Mondays fall might have something to do with it. ☹️

For sure it knocks your confidence a bit and you’ve done several sub 30’s recently.
I was happy that I scraped a sub 30 this morning for only my 3rd time this year.

Thanks Steve and hillstrider. A walk around Geoff Hamiltons Gardens today and all has been well but my right knee has started aching now I'm home 🤷‍♂️ oh well it shouldn't stop me running tomorrow morning but the weather might ;-) it talks of rain 😂😂
