Thanks Steve, the bags really were heavy, and I was walking much slower than usual.
I must order another pair of trainers, as my second pair have covered around 550 miles, and I usually consider 500 miles to be the limit. I've worn my trail shoes for my last 2 forest runs.
Well done for your early morning run. I haven't had a green tick for several weeks now, but I hope to rectify it tomorrow.

Well done LL for marshalling the junior parkrun, and running 7.5 miles on a scenic route.

Well done GG for your 5.8 miles running back to the car.

This morning I selected a particularly muddy route to give my trail shoes a good workout. I ran a solo 5 miles at recovery pace after yesterdays 5k, except for about halfway. I upped the pace to run round the 800 metre gravel and muddy track. I was pleased to do it in 4.52, which isn't much slower than when we do 800 metres reps with 90 seconds recoveries.

Heavy rain and strong winds made this mornings forest run with Sarah tough going. We ran/waded/walked through deep water in places and lots of mud. We had intended running 10 miles, but only managed 6.48. The rain has stopped now and the sun 🌞 is shining, typical 🙄

I was going for a run today until I opened the curtains then decided perhaps I'd prefer to stay dry.

I managed nearly 11 miles on Saturday, wasn't too cold but not sunny. Felt my back yesterday, need to do more core work I think and I am not used to the distance yet.

Well done to everyone who managed to run over the weekend. Sounds like you all have pretty rubbish weather and I don't blame you for cutting your run short HS. It's been a lovely day here (although wet through the night), just a shame I am at work.
