Thanks Steve, the bags really were heavy, and I was walking much slower than usual. I must order another pair of trainers, as my second pair have covered around 550 miles, and I usually consider 500 miles to be the limit. I've worn my trail shoes for my last 2 forest runs. Well done for your early morning run. I haven't had a green tick for several weeks now, but I hope to rectify it tomorrow. Well done LL for marshalling the junior parkrun, and running 7.5 miles on a scenic route. Well done GG for your 5.8 miles running back to the car. This morning I selected a particularly muddy route to give my trail shoes a good workout. I ran a solo 5 miles at recovery pace after yesterdays 5k, except for about halfway. I upped the pace to run round the 800 metre gravel and muddy track. I was pleased to do it in 4.52, which isn't much slower than when we do 800 metres reps with 90 seconds recoveries. |

Heavy rain and strong winds made this mornings forest run with Sarah tough going. We ran/waded/walked through deep water in places and lots of mud. We had intended running 10 miles, but only managed 6.48. The rain has stopped now and the sun 🌞 is shining, typical 🙄

I was going for a run today until I opened the curtains then decided perhaps I'd prefer to stay dry.

I managed nearly 11 miles on Saturday, wasn't too cold but not sunny. Felt my back yesterday, need to do more core work I think and I am not used to the distance yet. Well done to everyone who managed to run over the weekend. Sounds like you all have pretty rubbish weather and I don't blame you for cutting your run short HS. It's been a lovely day here (although wet through the night), just a shame I am at work. |
