Well run LL and some commitment what with jet lag and all. Wife's retirement from ultras hs is because she's essentially enjoying "shorter" long training runs (18-20 miles) since her hip replacement four years ago. Her pace has suffered and the longer runs were simply taking up too much time.

Well done LL sounds like a good run all things taken into account. And being out there is really all that matters.
Whoop for the 10k Steve! Hope the green tick appears.
Get well soon hs and FF

Back to a chilly dawn! Sunshine though and that's so good to run in after the dull March . Typical of my so called planning, that every other day running was most likely! I've already broken my resolve after less than two weeks,π. A 5k this morning on trails again and the puddles are very slowly shrinking! Thanks gg, yeah, I've got a green tick which is almost a medal for me! I see your training is nice and steady and with some added walks.

Well done LL for your half marathon, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Were there bands round the course? They certainly help!
Thanks for explaining why your wife decided to retire from ultra running Steve. I wasn't being nosey π
Well done for this mornings 5k on the trails, where you say the puddles are slowly shrinking.
Thanks everyone for your get well soonsπ
It wasn't frosty here GG, but there was a biting wind. Well done for running on a road loop.
This mornings 6.59 mile forest run with the Sarah's was definitely multi terrain. We had set off with the intention of finding a course to avoid the mud and muddy puddles, but we met with the opposite. The more we tried to take diversary action, the more we seemed to wander deeper into the mess. There was more wading/walking than running, but we enjoyed it. We did wish that we had worn our trail shoes though.

Thanks HS there was great support on the course. I just looked and although it was my 3rd worst half time out of 28 it was my 7th best on WAVA so with a bit of training I can still improve my WAVA. Little recovery jog today. Well done Steve and HS and GG for your respective runs today. Hope everyone is feeling better.

Thanks gg. Back to feeling good then hs, good distance there on muddy forest route.
Recover well LL, I thought you'd done a pretty good run there on the half. I wish I could engage with the WAVA thing but because of my slight disability in one leg I've never been able to run quite "properly" since my injury decades and decades ago. Did another 3.3 on mainly trails this wonderful morning--these are the best days when they start with clear skies. The puddles have almost completely gone now. My time was as currently usual, ("useless"!) but that's the way it is and highly unlikely to improve much but I'm enjoying what I do.

I find LL, that as I have got older, I pay more attention to my WAVA'S than actual times. It is interesting that in parkruns, the quickest, who are usually in their twenties, have inferior percentages to many of the slower runners 3 times their ages.
I felt fine after yesterday's walk/run Steve, but started sneezing again this morning. They do say that pollen levels are high,so it could be hay-fever, although I've never had it before.
Well done for this mornings trail run.
No running for me this morning but a pleasant walk to the supermarket, and back with the usual 4 heavy shopping bags.

I was looking forward to about 12 miles this morning but once I set off I adjusted my plan and eventually got 8 done. I didn't feel I had the energy for 12. Much better within myself but still chesty.
