Gulls! We had a pair of Lesser Black Backed Gulls nesting on our chimney stack each year until this year. After all sorts of difficulties including not being able to use the garden when the eggs hatched (aggression in the first degree!) we had a mesh cage installed over the stack. Roof nesting gulls are common all over Cardiff but decreasing in their natural habitats.
Well done on hitting the 100 gg. Bird song is diminishing rapidly now as the breeding season ends and moulting happens.
Good plodding Donnie1 and yeah, staying injury free is the key to hitting the target.

Excellent miles again MrM2 especially noting an improvement even with the difficulty you're dealing with. Continue to embrace the precious hours and days.
Another plodder...!!...good miles again Lesley. However I'm sure I'm more of a plodder than anyone else here. Actually I know I am 😂.
Only did 2.4 miles to note my HR this morning --- keeping broad data for my consultant and check up at the end of July. I note my resting HR is now around 55 bpm yet still at 120 BPM I'm beginning to struggle. All very interesting (to me!).😂

Impressive running MrM2 considering all you are going through.

Almost got attacked by a pair of angry swans this morning along the canal path 😳.

16 miles today plus 6 on Wednesday.

A five miler with my wife early this morning. She's ok doing walk/run with me as a leisurely "outing" addition to her own routine. A fabulous morning for anyone running, no wind, dry and 10c rising to just 14c. Made even better for us because we saw an Otter on the river along the trail . We had actually stopped briefly to see whether we could see a Kingfisher but an Otter for us is far better!

Cows and sheep this morning, all huddling up against the rain!

Mrmr2 well done for getting out.

Steve below 60 is considered an athlete so I am intrigued by issues at 120 (not a medic just a numbers geek).

Cold, wet, but the scenery was amazing, 7.31 miles, which is the longest run is a while.

So lucky to see an otter Steve and I’m sure Torey loves going running with you

I’m lucky not to have been attacked by any birds although as a child my auntie’s neighbour had geese that chased anyone relentlessly apparently my grandad kept show pigeons and he had a guard goose which my dad said was vicious to any strangers.

You do incredibly well @MrM2 I’m glad you get this time to yourself.

Contemplating my run to the butchers to get some burgers for tea… they might cook on the way back it’s roasty toasty here today

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm fuming, I'd responded to all the above posts, and had just started reporting on today's parkrun, when the whole lot "vanished!" That's why I wish that we could save our writings as we went along, so that the whole lot wouldn't be lost in a wipe out.

I did the Bartley Park parkrun this morning, and it was much hotter than expected. I was rather disappointed with my 30.31, but was 78th out of 133 runners, and 1st AG M 75-80. As a matter of interest, as there does seem to be some on this thread, my average hr was 140, max 150, WAVA 65.81%.

Apologies again for my non responses to your posts.

It’s very frustrating when that happens I’ve had it a few times the phone refreshes and boosh it’s gone.

I know you’re disappointed but well done today hs, in the heat it has to make a difference to performance and you still placed first in AG.
