Great running Lesley. I'm jealous of your 28.1 parkrun. My target is 28.30 but I doubt whether I will get it.

Mornings are the best gg! It's light now when I leave at about 6.15am-6.30am and the dark grip of winter disappearing. Hmm but of course it did rain yet again yesterday and overnight and the trails have deep puddles to negotiate or splash through.

4.2 miles this morning as the drizzle cleared up .
We used to make bows and sharp (!) arrows in the early 1960s and have toy guns too. Lots of us morphed into the love and peace generation regardless of our apparent aggressive play.
A few hilly circuits would be too much for me hs! Well completed within your 3.72 miles.
Great park run Lesley and phew, followed by a few miles too! Well done on the virtual mile.

Well done Steve for this mornings 4.2 miles. We had bows and arrows too, and also cap guns and cap bombs. We were forbidden to throw them in the school playground.

It's been absolutely hammering down with rain this morning, so I was glad to have today as an extra running rest day. We are doing the Southampton parkrun on Saturday which always has 1k plus runners, and I want to try and manage 1st in AG.

I walked to the supermarket to buy a couple of newspapers and got absolutely drenched, despite wearing a coat and cap.

Shhhh don't tell anyone but I went out and ran in the rain (without a rain jacket). It just happened to start raining after I'd left home and when that happens I don't mind too much but if it had started 2 minutes earlier I'd have started at home. Anyway 5 miles done and that includes another attempt at the virtual mile. I beat my earlier February attempt by 2 seconds in 6.49.

Hi Festive Flier I quite like running in the rain as long as it's not hammering down when I start. If it's torrential later on that's OK for me, as they say "I've started so I'll finish" Our skin is waterproof and running usually keeps me warm enough.

Hi AndyJ57 and welcome to the thread. I don't mind if I'm already out running but I won't go out in it if it's already raining, it just doesn't appeal to me. I did quite enjoy this morning's run but it's also a bit milder than it has been too. Running in the rain in summer is mostly pleasant too.

Well done everyone on your runs/walks/runwalks.

I like running in the rain as well as long it’s not torrential or really cold.

Ran/walked a 6 miler this morning, took it nice and easy.
