Plenty of provisions bought then hs! Well done on carting them home!
Well done on your usual FF despite the cold wind.
Glad you've had some better weather up there at last Lesley, good for digging and a 10k. Hope the long run goes well after the "cross training"! Pity the numbers have halved in your group; I can understand how people found 3x 8 minutes tough because I can't even get back to two minutes after all this time!

Great distance gg , well done and well timed to avoid the rain if only by luck!
Hurt my knee doing exercises so not running today. Annoying.

Well done Lesley for your 10k and I hope today's long run goes ok. A shame about the numbers halving in your couch to 5k group. The same happens in our club. It is unfortunate that very few decide to join up after completion of the programme.

Well done for your 12 miles GG.

Yes, I'm well stocked up now Steve. The heaviest item was the box of soap powder☹️ I'm sorry to hear that you have hurt your knee, but you were wise not to run on it.

Conditions were appalling this morning for our parkrun. It was sub zero, and very heavy rain during the drive out. Thankfully, it stopped just before the start. The ground was a mud fest most of the way, but thankfully, I had decided to wear my trail shoes. I found it hard going as the cold air was hurting my lungs. I wish that I had worn a buff, as I could have put it over my mouth.

Another very cold morning. I was still feeling the effects from yesterday's parkrun, so just a 3.63 mile run/walk on roads.

A beautiful winters morning, blue skies, sunshine and the remnants of a frost. The breeze didn't help but I was warm enough running, 16.35 miles ran.

Brr and ugh to those park run conditions hs and we'll done on your post park run/walk today.
Fabulous distance again FF, lucky to have a beautiful morning (for a change?!) without rain .

My knee felt ok this morning, amazing what a day exercise free can do! I managed 3.2 miles , still run/walking and found the easterly wind against me a bit uncomfortable on the way out but of course ok on the way back home.

Well done FF for another long run. You are near the top of the league table!

It was a horrible run yesterday Steve, with the weather and muddy terain. There were just the 3 of us from the gang, and we all ran slower than usual. The only high point for me was 1st AG out of two.

I'm glad to hear that your knee felt ok this morning, and that you were able to run/walk 3.2 miles.

On the return leg of this mornings run/walk, I was walking across a road when one of our lady club runners was running towards me. I don't think that she was aware that I had been walking before the road, so I didn't feel embarrassed.

So I am hillstrider and that's without marathon training which would have me doing even more miles!

Well done on your runs hs. Embarrassed possibly by walking😂 I've long got used to embracing my walk bits although it took a year or so...with no choice! I'm sure there's no need for embarrassment on your part with the five running you put in.
More miles FF? Dunno how you do them!
Excellent half marathon LL and nice pretty consistent pacing. You must be pleased.

Its a big drop but January does see people start things then drop, you never know they may return at some point and well done to those who are still there. In a few weeks you can remind them how hard they found 3 x 8 when they're smashing the whole run! Hope you enjoyed your long run.

Also hope your half went to plan Loo.

Sorry you hurt your knee steve and glad it seems ok already. That sounded like a tough run hs, but they make the good runs more worthwhile.

I got out with geordiemum & magsy on Saturday, aim was 3-4miles we did 5, there was a heavy frost but it was actually quite warm.

Great long miles FF, I had a check of my mileage and almost at 200miles yet I feel like I've not done that much so far this year. I just need to stop trying to make a month finish with a 0 or a 5 as I'm driving myself insane.

I will take the rest day (again) today and push on to round up February the next few days, my mate wants 100 which she thought was out of reach but I'll get her there.

As we have the last few days of February here's hoping March brings more blue sky runs.

Thanks Steve, I shouldn't really be embarrassed by walking, as I often tell other club runners how the Jeffing method is quite popular these days. It was unheard of to walk/run back in the day.

It was tough GG, but I've got to accept that I need to take things easier between hard sessions. I still have running rest days on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Well done for Saturday's 5 miles. Amazing that you have run nearly 200 miles this year. I hope that you enjoy today's rest day.

Another magical mystery tour 10k on roads with two of the Monday Group. No pressure, just running here, there everywhere. There was a very cold wind, so I wished that I had worn tracksters.
