Allotments and growing your own food is great so hope you have bountiful harvests Lesley.
The Sevilla marathon coverage didn't pick up on any of the GB top entrants and only just showed Dewi Griffith's finishing in 2.12.

Glad that the rain eventually stopped during your solo 6k hs.
Hope you get over being under the weather quickly LL, you've been hoping to dodge any lurgy.
No surprise to go out in heavy drizzle this morning which always soaks as much as rain! Did 3.4 roads. Got a physio appointment about my hip today ( 🤣 yeah, just another creak to add to the list. Have had hip trouble for three years but never pursued medical intervention, briefly got better when I stopped wearing prescription orthotics 😂.)

It's many years since I last ate any rhubarb, and it's only since it was a topic on here that I've recalled it. When I was a youngster, I remember my grandmother saying that it took a lot of manure to grow it. I don't know if it's true, or whether she was "pulling my leg."

Thanks Steve. Well done for todays 3.4 miles on roads. I hope that the physio will help with the hip problem.

This morning was a 7.54 miles "Magical Mystery Tour" on roads with the Monday Group.

I used to pull a stick of rhubarb when I was a youngster, cut the leaf off and dip it in the sugar bowl which was just inside the back door, nipping in and out as necessary trying not to get caught doing so 🤣🤣

Rain yesterday put me off going out so I went out and did 8 this morning instead. My car is in for a service and mot tomorrow so I shall be having a run while I'm waiting for it.

My husband grows rhubarb he loves it me not so much although as a kid I did the rhubarb in sugar thing too. I don’t think it takes much to grow we got tonnes of it and our neighbour loves it as does my parents. (So I don’t have to eat it!)

Rhubarb and custard! School dinner puddings in my day now and again. Nice. Better of course as rhubarb tart🙂
Good Monday distance there hs, changes in routes are great too.
Eight miles without rain is a bonus FF.

Interesting physio assessment yesterday highlighted a couple of issues, probably caused by my long term gammy leg. Got exercises to do of course to add to the various other daily "keep well routines"😂. Difficult to fit ordinary life in around them sometimes!!
4.2 miles roads this morning. After a beautiful sunset last night and dry at 5am the drizzle started as I went out!!

Alarm went off at 7am and the car was dropped off at 8am for a service and mot. I have managed to squeeze in 16 miles and a breakfast in Morrisons. Now to go and find out how much I need to pay.

Well done FF for yesterday's 8 and today's 16 miles.

I seem to remember when I was a child that mum used to serve up rhubarb topped with evaporated milk.

I hope that the exercises the physio has given you Steve are effective. Well done for this mornings 4.2 miles.

Just the usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning.

Well done FF on your runs, they’re very impressive.

Hope your bill wasn’t very high.

Well done Steve on your run this morning and your farmers walk HS.

Ran/walked an undulating 8 miles on the trail yesterday and did another 8 miles today just slightly different.

A fraction over £200 Jingle Jaks for service, mot and parts so not too bad. I will however need a new subframe on the front before the next mot. Oh well it's been a good cheap car for the last 9 years.

I think I recall that evaporated milk on stewed rhubarb curdles the juice! Still nice though!
Excellent runs FF and Jaks, not forgetting your scheduled consistent farmer's walk hs.
