Steve - we have a relatively new washing machine which boasts 100s of different cycles. I use just the one! Wash at 30 with the fastest spin!

well done fellow 4milers (or divisibly by 4 milers) and anyone running different distances. I went out at lunchtime (before reading this thread) and did exactly 4miles! must be the day for it. Was fresh and bluish sky but just looked up and its grey and raining so that was timed magnificently.
glad no-one was hurt in their falls hs.
My run took in picking up a few bits from town I wore my new North Face windproof gilet (using the last of the vouchers I got from my colleagues when I took on this job a year ago today!) it was pretty warm but with windproof comes no breathability so still got damp on the inside.
funny re the various wash cycles, we use one on the washing machine and one on the dishwasher - both the most economical options.

MrsB it was me with the new washing machine. I think that I have sussed it out and have a full load " on the go!"
Well done for your 4 miles GG.
😑Thanks, the ladles were unhurt by their tumbles. Must have washing machine cycles on the brain 🤣

Ok let's share our washing machine speeds! Mine at least will compare favourably with others....unlike my runs! We're like you Mrsb, we use the 3O minutes cycle and that's all! Deliberately bought a straight forward machine that didn't require mensa intelligence to understand, just a manual dial or two. It can do fast speeds to spin but we stay in zone1 with it!!

Enough about washing machines 😂
A good session this morning 😀 6 hilly circuits of 0.33/miles on tarmac. Each loop quicker than the previous one. Total mileage including run out and back was 4.51.It was raining steadily and quite windy.

Sounds like a productive session HS. I’m worrying about my 20 on Sunday as have the grandchildren and one has a vomiting bug, other half has a cold, flu cough thing. It will be a miracle if I remain unscathed.

Oh heck Loo hope you manage to avoid the bugs and you get your 20 in, but you’ve done so much so far I’m sure even if you have to miss it you’ll smash the marathon. But fingers crossed you’re fine.
Great session hs.
5.5 after work with the bestie. Weather was nice no wind, calm and I had too many layers on which was a nice problem to have.

Six hilly circuits sounds a tough and impressive session hs. There's no stopping you ! Well done on that. Hopefully the bugs will steer clear of you LL, I can understand your concerns with that 20 coming up. I'm with gg on your training, you're well up and there's time to do that twenty even if this week goes awry. Let's bank on you being ok though. Nice run there gg and even nicer to be warm! 11c here early morning, did 4.3 so slowly clawing my way back to the green tick . Great to see Josh Kerr get that two mile record, if he hadn't waved in the home straight he might well have broken 8 minutes! Steve Ovett has a lot to answer for with such waving!!

Thanks LL. I hope that you will be able to avoid the bugs, and run the 20 miles, as planned.
Thanks GG. Well done for yesterday's 5.5 miles.
Thanks Steve, but see details of todays run below. Well done for this mornings 4.3 miles. Yes, an excellent run by Josh Kerr.
I had planned a short, easy pace recovery run this morning, but one of the Club's Coaches asked me if I was running. I said I was, but just a recovery run. A big mistake! We ran 10k which included quite a few efforts on hills and the flat. It took me a while jogging recoveries between efforts. I won't do that again. Definitely no running tomorrow, just the Farmers Walk.

Lots of hand washing LL! Hopefully you avoid the bugs.
Well done on your runs folks. Always nice to get with a friend GG.
I did a club session on Tuesday, 4x 400m and 4x 800m reps. Was cool but a decent night. Rainy this morning on my early run. We did a regular loop round the local castle (same one that Parkrun is at). Nice a quiet at 6am.
