Good morning Fetchworld snow

Lyrics: No. Walks like a samba, eh? Unattainable female deportment standards. I think I should probably disapprove ;)

What: Regretting my decision not to go out and do a second run yesterday, and probably having a stomp on the treadmill. And some strength work, different routine from yesterday.
Why: The snow is falling at an angle that suggests a significant breeze, and it's so cold that I don't trust the road not to be icy under the snow.
Last hard: Parkrun yesterday.

What: circuits at the gym.
Why: it's Sunday and I do circuits at the gym on a Sunday.

Last hard: parkrun yesterday. 8 seconds outside a course best.

Afternoon!

@Derby Tup : my little twins are 35 tomorrow! Boy and a girl. Very different in more ways than one!

What: just 2k very gently

Why: hadn't planned on doing much more and it wasn't very pleasant running through icy slush and puddles.

Not looking forward to driving to work this week; potentially hazardous roads with below freezing temperatures forecast for first thing every day.

@alehouse happy birthday to the twins

Just done 40 mins on the exercise bike for 11m.

Needed to get the nerves down after watching the footy.... Still 8 games undefeated, a rare thing for Fulham

Ale - happy birthday to the kids!
what - LSR : ran the local halfM route in atrocious conditions. 16 miles all in.

Snow last night (light dusting) but all washed away with torrential rain.

Full on river mode on some of the back roads.

why - tradition on the first Sunday of the year.
Around 50-60 runners across various paces covering 3-4 of the local clubs.

last rest - 28/11
last hard - that was after XC yesterday

Well done everyone on finding alternative activities for the snow/ice, or braving the elements! No snow here, except for a small dusting on the mole hills this morning. It all washed away in the rain before noon, so just a windy run late afternoon. I included one small muddy stretch to catch my Fetchpoint bug, and promptly had flash backs to the marathon 🤭
Happy birthday to the twins, @alehouse

What: 8 miles slow
Why: trying out a garmin half marathon plan to a faster time.
Last hard: believe it or not, that was -but unlike the mara training I aimed for continuous running, not run-walk
Last rest: Friday
Lyrics: yes! love it, and the million covers that have been made too. @Velociraptor , there are versions where they change the gender to male 😀
