Interesting comments on short/long
As keen as I am on marathons / ultras, there is something to be said for trying to nail fast mile / 5k times. To be honest , as I've got older I prefer the shorter stuff : he says having entered an April marathon.
What - Just shy of 11 miles

why - Medium long run
last rest - 24/11
last hard - today really...
lyric - yes

Havering on entering Inverness Half on Sunday 9th March

Els is on reserve list for John Muir Ultra in East Lothian on 8th. Technically both possible as Half does not start until 12:30 with drive partway in evening. About 4h driving time.

Rest day here
Yes to lyrics
Did walk to town and back (approx 5km round trip). Foot was a bit sore last night so thought rest day was sensible. Leading club run tomorrow.

Happy wednesday all, end of my working week šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰

Never really worried about time on feet. Just as well, or I wouldnā€™t get off the sofa. Except I donā€™t think Iā€™ll do another marathon until Iā€™m convinced I can do it 30ā€™ faster than I did last time (and even then it will be ridiculous), and Iā€™m not going for an ultra.

@ElspethF, I had a few MRI with contrast, never had to have my blood done before. I hoped Iā€™d light up in the dark, but the radiologists said I wouldnā€™t with that stuff. Shame.

what: quick ā€˜time trialā€™ of 1M, with 0.5WU and CD
why: garmin coach said so
last hard: that was - saw my max HR
Last rest: Friday

Not sure what ā€œroom to growā€ means in Garmin language, I just gave it my best mile in forever (never did a specific mile TT either, TBH) and I am well chuffed.
