I’m going to defer my March ultra place @Velociraptor because I can’t get over the time on feet head thing

And yet you've done lots of big time on feet things, @Derby Tup :-O Strange how you can have it and lose it, hopefully temporarily. I've got until June to get a proper grip.

It's weird that I've never thought about big distances in terms of time on feet. It's always just been about the distance for me. Like: 26 miles is a long way over there.

Lyrics: yes. It's in a TV ad at the moment.
What: 7km gentle
Why: club night. Progressing up to 10k over 6 weeks.
Last hard: parkrun.

I spend half a long run now looking at my watch wishing it was over @Velociraptor and have for a couple of years. Going to focus on 5K

There is a great deal to be said for focusing on 5k. I recommend it for those of us who are not gifted at sprint and middle distances. Which is why I've entered the Dartmoor Discovery and am half-heartedly looking at Glasgow to Edinburgh.

My track mile PB is in that ball park (I think it's 7:04). I ran my fastest road 5k at a faster average speed than that. Won't get near either time again.

I never did a mile or 5K when I set my PB’s back around 2007

Lyrics, yes for a change!
Derby T , which ultra were you doing?, I am now on a waiting list for John Muir also in March, need to up my game/sort my knees! I find I don't really think about the time once I've got going unless I'm worried about cutoffs (getting increasingly a thing!)
Nice running Veloci!
Bit of a faffy day, having had to defer MRI scan on 4th got a letter saying now needed a blood test because there would be contrast involved (never had contrast before) so got an appointment for blood test mid morning, so just a 3m walk before this. Then called Aberdeen to say bloods had been done, seems may or may not have been necessary but they sorted me out with a new date so that is good.

Neeed to get a longer run in tomorrow, frustratingly today's weather has been good!
