That's crazy money for insurance but that depends on what she's driving, mileage and where it's kept too.

She has a Tesla when she bought it 2-3 years ago insurance was £600 ish and she had a fit at that! Her husband was hit by an uninsured car and went up but got it down to £910 last year it’s ridiculous. She had full camera footage of the car driving dangerously overtaking him and the police said can’t see the drivers face it’s uninsured an no MOT so can’t do anything we can’t prove registered driver was driving but didn’t even go and check! Insurance company paid out no hassle as she has a crime number. Someone has to pay which is normal good honest people.

Insurance is a nightmare! Just trying to sort it for my oldest son (27). Initial quotes were between 4 and 6k. We got it down by going for comprehensive (rather than third party) and adding my husband and I (76yrs of driving between the two of us) as named drivers. Still paying £1400 for an 18 year old Hyundai 1.1l Getz that is parked off road. Oh - with a £500 excess which is more than the car is worth!
Running is going ok! Also qualified as an archery instructor with Archery GB this weekend - which is fun!

Indeed another string to your bow Mrsb! Definitely a target chasing sport. Insurance is a necessity/rip off for vehicles and also the same for house insurance etc
I'm told that in Australia you don't pay a car insurance premium to an insurance company; one's insurance is paid for via the purchase of petrol at the pumps so the further you travel the greater the cost. It means there is no such thing as a non insured driver.
A brief mile or so outing this morning to see if my hip exercises etc are giving results. But mainly to help in catching up with getting my green tick back.

This weekend was only the second time I’d picked up a bow! It is a great sport, lots of fun, nicely competitive, pretty inclusive (if I can do it anyone can) and a lot less hassle than a rifle range!

Congratulations MrsB for qualifying as an archery instructor. A few years ago I worked with a lady in the office who was "into archery" and she actually introduced it into the works sports day. I remember how hard it was pulling back the string.
Well done Steve for your brief mile this morning; I hope that it did feel better after the hip exercises.
Well done GG for this mornings 4.6 miles.
This morning I ran 3.72 miles with the Wednesday Group, which included 5 hilly circuits of 0.33 mile, each one quicker than the previous one. I was pleased with the way it went, as I wasn't really feeling like running.

Great running going on in here. Sorry been AWOL again.
Hope the knee is ok Steve.
Congratulations Mrs B.
We have been a one car household for quite a few years, that may change. Insurance for us uses to be £200, it's a lot more than that now.
I did just under 11 miles on Saturday, I was aiming for a speedy parkrun, managed 28:01 was aiming for quicker. The last hill always gets me, so going to keep practicing! I did my virtual mile last night (8.01) and then the beginners group. All did great. Early run for me tomorrow probably.
