Well done HS wet and windy here too.

My plan was 1 warm 2 x 10mm then cool.
I did my second uphill at 10:22 and can usually easily make up the slack on the next mile which is down but the wind and rain scuppered that. Legs still a bit tired from the 20. Another one ticked off resting now until my half on Sunday.

well done on the 20 Loo and all those of you still getting out in the random rain/sun/wind

good luck getting the subframe sorted in due course FF def worth keeping it on the road if you can knowing its reliability.

I have been away with work so miles are low this week, managed 6 after work on Tuesday and out with a friend tonight and I've been plotting my long run tomorrow.

I'm guessing you're not "racing" the half on Sunday LL. You've put a lot into training at quite an intensity this last week or so and your legs, and you (!) deserve some respite!
Braver souls than me ignoring the rain yesterday, I aborted my outing and only did 1.5 miles, at 0.75 miles the heavens opened and I was not appropriately dressed!
5.5 miles this morning and it didn't rain. At the three mile mark I had to detour fields that were flooded. Attempted a walk/run through but I sank up to mid calf in water and couldn't see the point of it!

Well done for Tuesdays 6 miles on Tuesday GG. Good luck for todays long run.

Well done Steve for at least starting to run yesterday, and for todays 5.5 miles. I don't blame you for not wanting to wade through deep water. I don't like doing it

either. Some of our club runners do a Sunday "Dibden Doddle" in the forest, where they seem to seek out the deepest water and muddiest areas. There is no way that I would join them!

This morning was probably the toughest Farmers Walk šŸšœ to date, but somehow, I made it. A case of mind over matter.šŸ˜…

Looby Loo aren't you doing just a little leg stretch today or tomorrow including a few strides? That would keep your legs ticking over ready for Sunday.

Well done for your runs GG, it must be hard squeezing in running when you're away from home.

I did my usual yesterday Steve and didn't run in the torrential rain but I've been out this morning in the lovely sunshine but cold wind.

Well done for your usual farmers walk hillstrider. Don't overdo the lifting, it might be worth doing the walk twice instead of struggling.

Fenland Flier as it happens I noticed a 3 mile easy on my plan so resting today and will do that tomorrow. Yes Steve my plan suggests half at 11mm so will go for that.

Well done on your 5.5 and GG and good luck with your planned long run. Good luck with the weather everyone.

Thanks FF, I do the Farmers Walk on Tuesdays and Fridays, as those are my shopping days. I do try to balance the loads out between them, but sometimes miscalculateā˜¹

Always good to have rest days in every training schedule LL.

Sorry been AWOL this week. Some great mileage going on, well done everyone! Glad you managed your 20 LL.

Been a good week of weather here although it was windy on Tuesday evening. I did the C25K group. I was out early yesterday for 10k. Hoping to do my long run tomorrow, been at the allotment all day digging! Might regret that tomorrow. Will be frosty too so will see how it goes.

Have a good weekend everyone.

How are your C25Kā€™ers doing. Have most stayed? Well done getting out esp in bad conditions. Hope the heavy bags today mean an easier farmers walk next week.

I ended off with 12m, had I not pratted about doing everything to avoid starting (it was raining) Iā€™d have made it home rather than getting picked up to go carpet shopping.

Enjoyed it and by time I went out the rain had stopped and it was a beautiful day

Here is Durham cathedral coming into view (a totally new area to explore too)

The numbers have halved, think the winter weather has put them off. They are doing well, but some found this week's session tough (3x 8 mins).

Looks lovely GG ā˜ŗļø.
