Well done everyone too many to comment on them all. Summer rain is lovely.
I did 7 as per my plan it was nice although I forgot my cap and my glasses kept getting wet. Summer rain is nice but I too don’t like starting off in it.

I don’t mind running in the rain once I get started and so long as I don’t have a rain jacket - hate the noise they make. That said the dark and rain meant I did my hill reps on the treadmill tonight. 7.5miles is a long way on a treadmill!

I’ve learnt to put up running when it’s raining but I won’t lie if there’s an option I will mostly take it. Well done FF for not turning round.

Well done everyone for all your achievements this month. I hope you finally get some results next month Steve.

I finished my month on 114, odd number for me but it rounds year to 215 which I’m happy with.

Now to ramp up heat training for Jordan! 😬🥵

Well done on your runs today everyone.

My rain jacket has been worn more this last autumn/winter, I don't like it - the noise and that it makes me sweaty so end up wet inside too. I don't mind the rain as long as it's not too cold!

5.5 miles for me this morning, head torch run at 5.30. Quite a few others out too. It was breezy and chilly.

Lesley, I drive to work at 6.45am. I can tell we are in the build up to London as there are far more runners out than there were a few weeks ago.

I’ve been using the treadmill a lot this year. The incessant rain has made the footpaths absolutely grim. I’ve done two early morning treadmill sessions as well as this evenings hill intervals. I find it more bearable if I cover up the display so I don’t have to watch the timer!

What a topic this weather has become! Not surprising given the unusually high February total rainfall. It's often wetter here in South Wales too. Seems we all don't mind the rain starting once we're out but stepping out into a storm...no thanks!
Bravo FF! Note the betterment of your mile...in the rain! Well run.
Well done Jaks on your six and heck...Mrsb, seven miles on the treadmill needs some determination.
What a super early rise and run Lesley, I've been going out a bit late this last month, generally at 6.30 am.
Great months total gg, let's hope for a sample of warm weather for you to get used to it ready for Jordan.
Welcome to the thread AndyJ57.
Started the month with 5k and actually missed the rain. The trails are of course a mass of deep puddles, "my trail" follows the path of the river so the water table keeps it damp at the best of times.

Interesting article in Athletics Weekly ( see it via Google) about pace/perceived effort.

Great running everyone, especially in the wind and rain. As I've mentioned before, I've never mastered the treadmill, in fact I was even advised to get off one in a sports shop while trying out new trainers 😥

Heavy rain during the night and early morning, but it stopped just before I set off on my Farmers Walk.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's Southampton parkrun, which will probably have many more runners than the usual 1k, as several others have been cancelled.

You've put some good miles in duo. Ten miler not to be sneezed at!
4.3 miles this morning and it wasn't raining although overnight rain had made sure that the trails didn't dry out!😂. Bit chilly at 3c but ideal for running.
I eventually contacted the hospital department where my tests have been. Apparently a letter has been "waiting" in my file and will be sent out. Goodness knows whether I would ever have found out if I hadn't spoken to the consultant's secretary.
