Oct 2019 Starting to run again and hoping it's for keeps this time. My long term goal is to get a GFA marathon time. Which for me is a sub 4 hours minus about 5 minutes due to new rules relating to the London Marathon.
In the meantime and the first thing is to run a 5km this will take a few months and will take it from there... to be continued Always been a runner on and off ever since i was a nipper joined a club in 1988 a new club called Linford Joggers, sadly now no longer stopped running in 1990 when i started a new job with anti-social hours so stopped, restarted a few times. The last time i restarted was June 2003 and have been here ever since. Joined Benfleet Running club in 2006 I streaked for 293 days from April 2008 to early Feb 2009, hope to return again one day Show More...

Initially planned on a 2 mile run then 1 mile walk then another little run. But felt alright so went for 5km There were 3 major road crossings in each mile 1 of them with no lights so had to wait till it was safe to cross hence the low pacing 3rd mile had a steep uphill. But its all good training This route I go through a village which has a cricket pitch staying behind the ropes there was no match. It was raining anyway.
