I began running in 1978 and still at it, albeit differently in terms of pace and ability. Of course! Happy to still be out there at 75 despite the permanent injury induced slight leg disability which happened in 1990. If it weren't for that then I'd still have had a go at races etc but content to crack on along my own routes and in my own time. Show More...

What’s the best bit of advice that you would give to new runners, bikers and swimmers? Make sure that you really do enjoy whatever activity is chosen or it will eventually become a chore and likely to cease! Be guided by your own goals and not any ones else's.
