Binks A truely brilliantly organised race that is really tough. I wouldn't say it was hilly but there was not a flat section in the whole race making it difficult to pace. Millions of marshals and really enthausiatic support makes this the best city marathon I've done in the UK. ThorntonRunner Recorded chip time - gun time was 3:18:28. Satisfied with that. Done on restricted training and that showed in the latter stages: first 13 miles - about 7:15 pace, then 14-21 at about 7:30 pace (into the wind!). But final 5 miles: 7:47, 7:58, 8:30, 8:31, 8:57! Not surprised I died - still 8 minutes faster than last year.

way2slow great run - really nice scenic route. was on for a bit quicker but left calf started cramping up with 5 miles to go. still happy with a pb (time from the gun - took 60 secs to get over start line so personal time a bit quicker) and GFA at london to boot - roll on next year!!

Puffing Billy Reached halfway in 1:55, but turned into wind with several long gradients and pace gradually fell away. 15-19 miles were the worst. Kept running apart from one minute walk at about 23. Great marshals, but little atmosphere.
