Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Seagrave Ran 7.72 miles to the start, was 6.5 minutes late for start so spent the first mile and a half in last place, really pleased with the time given the warm up.

My legs hurt.

thomas h last year ,i managed a pb 1.22.48 in this race . quiet undulating rural roads .initally the route is out and back with a loop at the far end, so u get to see the hills waiting for you , as you travel out . normally race entry fills quite early .
post race: could not get on pace at all (6.05/mile target 1.19.30) . had a bad knee on monday 1 oct ,could'nt walk , so result not so bad .u all did'nt know you were betting on a lame horse!
took ibruphen & did ice packs for most of week expect that had an effect on pace.

Trogre Wow, huge PB. Excellent course and well organised.
It makes a change not having to queue for the toilets.
Thanks to all the Fetchies who encouraged me along the way!

Boycie What a disaster! Woke up feeling really bad - stomach off and struggled to eat much breakfast. Set off and legs were like lead by 1 mile - even though I had run a what should've been comfortable 6.32 - I put in two more miles at 6.32 each one, but by then it was apparent that if I was to even complete the race, I would need to drop off, I tried to maintain it at 6.50 pace but by mile 7 I had thrown up and was reduced to running 7.20s which was very painful for the remaining 5 miles of the race, finishing in a really bad 1:32:52 :-( Sorry guys...

runnyeyes Not a good day. First 5 miles were ok 9mm and HR at target 165bpm..but I was feeling pretty sick and finding it hard even at mile 3. Tried to persuade myself that it was just a bad patch, but by mile8 I had to forget pbs and drop the pace. Then it became a mental battle with the disappointment. I kept runnung..and that was todays acheivement.Just hope that this was to do with temporary health prob/meds...and not lack of bottle! Sad day.
