Ally2 Rainy, not too windy and lovely quick course. Well organised although car park was muddy. Clocked time at finish of 38:24 but chip time 38:11. Ran first 5km steady, cutting through field, then blitzed final 3km. Overall very happy. Only passed by two runners. Next race will start nearer start line. Came 63rd.

Billy Wet and windy -Great course, especially going through the village, but didn't feel 'up for it' so a PB wasn't gonna happen today.

BrianJ A PB!..course has no real hills though I noticed the incline between 6-7K. Windy and wet especially towards the end for us slower ones so hopefully could do even better next time...

Lieutenant Lucerne Will be just two weeks after the Halstead marathon, so I won't be aiming for a personal best. Instead I'm planning to pace a friend for his sub 50 min target.
UPDATE: Reached 5km on target, but the undulating course and the conditions made the second half a bit harder for my friend, so we agreed to leave sub 50 for another day. It was a useful run for me after the marathon. Very scenic course, despite the rain and cold winds. Would be nice to run this in the Spring next time.

mikeharrison PB!!! Excellent race set in a lovely village and was ideal PB material being quite flat. Weather pretty grim but didn't really affect my running as the rain was quite cooling! Felt sorry for the spectators though. (my gf pretty unimpressed with her introduction to road races...)

Paulie Perfectly organised run around the pretty village of Hatfield Broad Oak. Very well supported despite the wind and rain. The gentle undulations make it potentially a very quick course.

PlodderRW Don't bet, very little training this year mainly due to injury. Using to get me back into it, see where I am.

Ran first couple of K with Lins in the end then wound it up, not sure would have done much faster anyway, didn't wear watch, hopefully the kick up the @rse i needed

Tanktop Bit of a 'tester' to see where I was at after 3 months 'off' with ITBS. Race weather was horrid (cold, wet, windy) but the course was fast. 20s slower than last year, but really happy with that off the back of 3 weeks training.

Vindicator A very good well organised race spoilt only by the unseasonal weather. It was very cold with wind and rain - felt like more like February. I felt sorry for the village fete that normally goes along side this race, but there were many supporter out in the village where the race comes in/out at halfway. I found the course a little hillier than I was expecting. Set off a little fast up the initial climb but then settled. The climb out of the village took a lot out of me, but started to wind it up 1K out. A slight climb at 600m out unsettled me, so could not give the full sprint finish I wanted. Has everyone been towed out of the car parks yet?
