Jenson That's my aim. Might not make it...but barring disaster, should be under 1.50. Bingo. Job's a good un. 6 mins off PB, so pretty happy with that considering skinful on Fri night and calf twinging between 1-3 miles and 10-12.5 miles. Loved the race, thought the complaints about the problems at the start seem to have been addressed. It was bit hillier than I expected but that was actually a good thing. Plenty of water stops = great. Chatted to a top chap for 4-9 miles (Sunderland supporter) so that was really nice and definitely helped 'cos the miles passed by almost without us noticing. Even the weather played ball. Big smiles.

pmcoops well thats it thats the first half marathon completed,did'nt get the time i predicted but was not far off still happy with time i got.Be back next year to beat it.

the hunter WENT OFF TOO FAST AND FADED BADLY OVER THE LAST 2 AND A HALF MILES, WILL NO BETTER NEXT TIME!!! STILL A PB FOR A HALF MARATHON AND THATS TWO IN 2 WEEKS

XB I'll be aiming to get as close to 1:55 as possible. And that's what I did. Definitely a race of 2 halves - I felt very sluggish for the first 6 miles then had a couple of good strong miles then hung on for dear life for a fast finish. It's a great race, well supported and reasonably flat. Updated for chip time.
